Built around moving fourths, Pythagoras was inspired by the piano playing of the great McCoy Tyner, one of the most important jazz pianists of the 20th century.  McCoy's modal style included a very strong left hand that used fourths and fifths to create harmony and rhythm for John Coltrane, in addition to his pioneering use of fourths in his soloing.

BIO: Yukke Roswenda Heckmann, better known as YUCCA ROSE, is an Indonesian Ethnic Jazz and World Music vocalist / lyricist and contemporary painter from Malang in East Java.

Over the last fifteen years, she performed with a wide variety of jazz bands / solo artists and recorded two albums with her Jakarta based orchestra “Major Seventh” (the self titled "Major Seventh" debut album and the second album named "Eastern Sunrise" - both published by DiscTarra Indonesia). 

She released her first solo album "Tree of Life" in March of 2013 and the second album "Radio Dalam Orchestra - Wir haven Spass" in 2016. All albums and two single releases feature some of the greatest Indonesian jazz performers and include collaborations with European Jazz and World Music artists.

She is produced by her husband, the German musician and audio engineer Peter Heckmann @peterheckmann and now divides her time between Indonesia and Germany.

As a highly regarded contemporary painter and designer, Yucca Rose still finds the time to paint - constantly adding to her extensive collection of artwork. Additionally, she creates larger scale wall murals, unique bamboo toys and wood sculptures and adds her colorful painting style to recycled wood boxes, wardrobes and tea-containers in her Rumah Kreatif workshop in Indonesia.

Kiriku is a London-Ibiza based artist blending Balearic soul, Afro-Latin rhythms, and organic electronic textures into a unique signature sound. 
As a producer, live performer and DJ, he crafts warm, groove-driven music filled with emotion and real-time energy.
He performs both immersive live sets, based entirely on unreleased original music and dynamic DJ sets, mixing indie electronic, deep house and organic beats. His hybrid approach bridges club energy and musical storytelling.
Kiriku’s acclaimed album Botanics, released on Berlin’s The Magic Move- ment, established him as a rising name in the organic electronic scene. The record features remixes by Chris Coco, Noema, Jay Fase, Kurup and Marco Tegui, and quickly sold out on vinyl worldwide.
He has brought his sound to iconic Ibiza parties such as BOHO EXPERIENCE where he debuted his original live format. In 2025, Kiriku is preparing to release a new indie electronic EP in collaboration with vocalist Thea Marie, with remixes by dOP, Nico Stojan and Tooker.

Devoted to honoring our history and its telling through music.

One of the most pleasant ways to grasp human history is by listening to and pondering our music. This is a show where music and history flow as one. Truly wonderful music is a reflection of the times in which it was born and the vast human experience preceding it. 

White At Night is an audio exploration of various artists' lives and the history that shaped their music. Not only can we discover where we have come from, but above all where we can go.

In a nutshell, this show is about life as expressed through tales from our song writers, poets and musicians, not from some marketing or otherwise canned factories.

Whether I am presenting a celebrated bassoonist from Vienna or an obscure blues picker from Mississippi, one of the most magnificent gifts we humans have created is music. Therefore, my show aims to spread the goodness of music, elaborate on the stories behind the songs and expound the myriad of human conditions that have shaped these tunes. 

Knowing our history and enjoying our music automatically conjures up strong emotions and gives perspective to the listener. Making people feel good about themselves and life as a whole is the objective of tuning in to White at Night.

Ezequiel is a free-spirited artist. His nomadic trajectory, which traces 20 years, has enabled him to live in multiple corners of the world. Since leaving the south of Brazil, where he was born and raised, to Australia, a place where he held different residencies throughout his five years in Sydney where he was responsible for one of the principle nights at the renowned Burdekin Hotel as resident DJ. After a new brief passage in Brazil, where he played a role in the development of Base in Porto Alegre, one of the most appraised parties of the contemporary electronic music scene in the country, Ezequiel is now based in Berlin, the ideal environment to boost his knowledge in music production and audio engineering.

As a DJ, his style reflects the freedom of his trailed path with references to all the places his journey has gone through. His sets carry a rich influence, subtly building stories reflecting his trademark artistic sensibility, spicing it  up with house and techno nuances that indicate a time, weather, taste or aroma treasured in his memory and brought up in due time. His gigs share a timeless quality guided by his emotional sense which have earned him the alias of "Magus" when behind the decks.

Originally from Chicago, where I developed a strong appreciation for the blues and classical, and moved to New York, where jazz and the fine arts are so deep.  Key musical influences include Miles Davis, Herbie Hancock, Jimi Hendrix, Joe Zawinul and Weather Report, Chick Corea and Return to Forever, John McLaughlin and the Mahivishnu Orchestra, Stanley Clarke, Scott Henderson and Tribal Tech, Jeff Beck and Jan Hammer, Mike Stern, John Scofield, Pat Metheny, Emily Remler, McCoy Tyner, Bill Evans, John Coltrane, Jimmy Smith, Joey DeFrancesco, Larry Young, Buddy Guy, Santana and Earth Wind & Fire.   Former classical clarinet and piano player.  Unless noted, my music on SoundCloud was composed, recorded and performed using only keyboards.  An avid photographer.  Many covers here are my shots.
