Paul threw this Stevie Ray Vaughn type track up for people to join in, allowing me the great pleasure to jump in once again.  Got that great Jimmy McGriff organ sound going on the keys for this.  Great blues track Paul  - sweet playing on everything!

GO GO - with Paploviante / Paul Racle

Paul Racle has done it again with another beautiful collaboration piece for others to join in.  This one is a real smooth and pretty jazzy groove, with some sweet rhythm guitar and bass, congas and percussion, reminding me of the soul classic What's Going On.  One of those all time grooves.  So I jumped in on it with a flute patch - everything else is Paul's.  He's on the guitar, the bass, the drums and has created and produced the tune. We sure hope you enjoy it.

Paul's so important here on SoundCloud, always creating music for other musicians to join, sharing music, and producing some sweet instrumental and vocal tunes with friends around the world.  
He's a big inspiration to so many who don't have the opportunity or ability to create tracks, and to musicians like me who just want to jump in to enjoy his fine creations. In poker, you double down when you get two aces.  And that's just what we have here...two aces.  Scott Nelson and Mirko Borach.  Both superb musicians and guys who you put money on.  So fortunate to have both here on SoundCloud - Scott https://soundcloud.com/scott-nelson-364333064 is from outside of Philadelphia, and is a complete master on guitar.  We had to team him up with another master on bass, Essen Germany's Mirko Borach, who is well known here on SC as Stringburner https://soundcloud.com/stringburner.  Full credit to these wonderful players as they bring our original Double Down to life with me.  Follow these guys and head back into their galleries here for so many exceptional pieces.  I've recorded over twenty with Mirko and now five with Scott.  Loved each one and hope you will too.

Jam with Paploviante - with Paul Racle / bass

Switzerland's Paul Racle - Paploviante to so many here - has done it once again, creating a beautiful Baroque collaboration for others to jump into.  When I heard his gorgeous Cathedral, it immediately hit home for me, having grown up with Baroque music, and the huge organ sounds and pieces of Bach and Handel.  Together we've created a piece of inspiration, that starts with the important Baroque chord changes and with Paul's creativity, adds layers of synthesizer and 21st Century sensibility.  I have named this St Paul's Cathedral to honor both Paul Racle and also the world famous cathedral in London, which is shown on the album cover.

St. Paul's Cathedral - with Paploviante

Had to jump in again the Zurich's master producer and bass player Paul Racle, who created this grooving  track for collaboration. Check out his bad ass bass line.  I've added a bari sax and trombone lines, a rhodes and Hammond organ.  The middle of it really reminds me of the classic sound the Crusaders had in the '70s.   We hope you enjoy it.

Can't Stop The Beat

Zurich's wonderful Paul Racle and I are back again with Paul's recent Ghetto, a grooving funk tune.  Paul's always creating great music, and so often opening it up for others to jump in.  When I heard this funky composition and deep bass lines I knew it was right, and so have jumped to create Ghetto Blaster.  Paul goes by Paploviante here on SC, and he's such a fine bass player, drummer, producer and listener.  A treat to be back here with Paul, and we hope you enjoy what we've done.

Ghetto Blaster - with Paploviante (Paul Racle)

When I heard Paul Racle's recent Drops collaboration I knew I wanted to jump in.  To this beautiful orchestral piece I have added two synth lines - a heavy reverb lead sound and a marimba.  Everything else is Paul's great work.  Paul is a very fine electric bass player, creator and producer,  and one of the leaders of SoundCloud's collaboration effort.  I've jumped in on about 5 of these sweet pieces, and hope you enjoy this one too.

Zurich's Paul Racle ... aka Paploviante...is always doing something fresh and new.  Such a fine bass player, drummer, guitar player, and producer.   A deep musican across so many styles too.  Paul's created another hot track to share with everyone here, and I've had so much fun creating a few lines on synth.  Follow Paul's sweet and grooving bass line through Cool Times. Cool Times - Paploviante - with Jamie Rhind / keyboards

Funk Yeah!

Calaminus is back with a super funky collaboration, Catch the Drift.   Such a fine composition from the SC World Funkmaster, Jorg Calaminus.  He's done so much here and then listen to his fantastic piano/synth solo.  Over the course of 5 minutes, Jorg takes us from funk to some Hawaiian Island groove, back to the funk, to fusion, to 70's rock, and then back to the funk.  Something like that.  Maybe more.  Jorg's for years been one of the Cloud's finest creators, merging Funk, World, Fusion and Jazz.  With Jorg, rhythm and syncopation drive his music.  And taste.  There's always a surprise around the turns, and lots of layers.  Heavy music and a pleasure to be releasing this together. So great to have him back with his wonderful grooves.

Music that goes for new forms, harmonies and rhythms, from a vintage sound and with the inherent groove, to the concept of Hammond trio. It's Sunday and no time better for a little grooving...this one's a little soulful blues and the photo's from the greatest blues club of all, Chicago's Kingston Mines.  When you visit Chicago be sure to go at least one night.  Live blues on two rotating stages from 8p - 4a every night of the year.   And if you can play they often let you sit in.  People all over bringing instruments for late night action.  Named our newest dog Koko Taylor, who's photo in in the poster on the wall - the Queen of Chicago Blues.
