Story Of My Life - David Vasquez (1D Cover)

This one's for you Santi...
Two months ago our dear and wonderfully talented friend and musician Santi Caballero Mendez was killed in a tragic motorcycle accident in his hometown of Barcelona.  Sam and I had recorded over 50 tunes together yet we had never spoken.  To honor Santi, we have created our tribute Missing You - with 17 different musicians around the world who had recorded with Sam in my music.  The music brings out so many emotions for me, sadness, joy, passion, playfulness, and of course the incredible latin spirit.   Each section of the piece has different musicians, and so many musicians appear and reappear throughout the piece - but often with different supporting casts.  In the end, a moving tribute from so many of Soundcloud's very finest.  Thank you all for joining in as we honor Santi - and thank you Santi...we're Missing You:

I started recording the percussion first, just for fun. Then the bass line. Then I found Cecilia's song 'Free Electron'. It was a perfect match. Add to that some extraordinary synth sounds and a pair of little guitar licks. Finally a little reggae feeling guitar. I hope you have fun listening.
