For those of you who haven't discovered Orlando "The Don" Lund, here's your opportunity.  Orlando is a serious pro, having built a career as a writer, multi instrumentalist and producer in London during the '90s Soul Funk era, leading and creating with some of the finest contemporary jazz and funk musicians in Europe. Orlando approached me about playing on a tune I had released here, What the Funk, quickly sending 5 tasty tracks to me - a solid grooving bass line, a congas line, two rhythm guitar tracks and a George Benson style guitar solo.  I've worked them all in here, adding them to all my keyboard parts, creating some sweet soul jazz for your listening pleasure. How Long Will I Love You

This is a new rendition of the song I wrote and recorded about twenty years ago. The original is a solo vocal/piano recording in one take without overdubs or editing. I posted it on my You Tube channel  but I thought its 8 minute length was too long to burden Sound Cloud listeners with. For this shorter new rendition I sampled piano and vocal parts from the original  to add additional piano and vocal layers to the song.
The lyrics : relate to the observations by a fictional bartender who notices
many barflies (regular customers) treat bartenders like  full-time "substitute psychologists".

My arrangement of this traditional Irish ballad which translates as 'The Cursed Kerryman" and sung so beautifully by  Seamus O Beaglaoich and others.  
I've tried hard not to smother the lovely melody and let the Taran guitar do the singing... Tuning is DADGAD

Perché sei pallida? Non sto bene. Bacio un tizio che non conosco. Bacio un'amica, ma non provo nulla. Scelgo. Torno a riattaccarmi al cazzo. Dove sono finiti tutti quei soldi? Ho bevuto un Margarita. Mura interiori insonorizzate. Una batteria si esercita sui 4/4.

Quanto é profonda la mia vagina?

Da 60 a 90bpm il processo di formazione dell'identità, giunto ormai al suo apice massimo, inizia la sua decelerazione e recessione. L'identità già precostituita si interfaccia ora alle multiformi maschere sociali. Urla silenziose in un sempre più labile intreccio relazionale scandito da momenti di introspezione e momenti di ulteriore ascesa. Come un eremita alla ricerca della sua meta ideale e del suo sé più profondo assistiamo ad un progredire della presa di coscienza. Elegante e musicale assioma.
