Rêves et veillées

C'est un lieu qu'on ne présente plus sur la scène nantaise après un été rempli de succès, les Écuries Mellinet accueillent pour la toute première fois Radio DY10 pour une journée placée sous le signe du plaisir, à l'antenne bien évidemment ! Au programme, un petit plateau radio lors duquel nous avons retrouvé Nicolas Bernadeau de Big City Life pour nous parler de ce super projet qui a rameuté bien du monde lors des derniers mois, mais également des Dj's sets de résidents de la radio et attention, line up 4 étoiles pour l'occasion ! Se sont enchaînés derrière les platines Da:mu, Akira, Super Slamon, Symraah puis un b2b entre Oksa et Braz pour clôturer cette belle fête !

Radio DY10 aux Écuries Mellinet invite : Da:mu, Akira, Super Salmon, Symraah, Oksa B2b Braz - Part 1

Vivian Koch (@kochvivian) has real range. For labels like Life And Death, a.r.t.less and AD 93 she has served up everything from IDM to moody breaks, ambient soundscapes to emotive techno. Her most recent album - last year's ominous but hopeful Beyond Contact - was fine proof of that from the Berlin-based artist who started DJing aged just 16. She has since mastered the art of making and playing club music thanks to her residency at Griessmuehle and her own Olympe party series.

She very much eases into this week with a superb ambient selection. It's broad in its remit, with the most beautiful and suspensory pieces bleeding into gently suggestive rhythms. The moods, too, range from mind-emptying bliss to passages of hopefulness and even romance. It's the sort of cathartic listen we all occasionally need to immerse ourselves in as a way of resetting.

The Other Side returns for its seventh season as if it was still its first. Trying to do things differently in order to avoid getting stuck in a loop. Keeping it fresh and up to date whilst bridging the gaps between the past, the present and the future. Curiosity is the key to an open mind that takes in as much as possible and filters it back out to the discerning ear. This continuous mix of aural delights will always be a comfort zone in which you can disconnect, relax and come back to a safe place.
