After a couple of weeks away to have fun at our Amsterdam festival, we're back with a fresh new podcast. For this one we hand over to @melinaserser who joins us at Dekmantel Selectors in Croatia this week. A graduate of the legendary DJ Koolt's DJ school, Melina is a talented artist from the fertile Uruguayan scene. She has a passion for unearthing unknown gems for the worlds of downtempo, ethnic, jazz, funk and breakbeat and has played all over the world as a result.

Her selections here show Serser's mastery of the early-evening warm-up or late night lounge world. It's a place where lilting rhythms and all manner of melodies slowly unfurl and cast their hypnotic spell. The churning grooves are dubbed out and fleshy as all manner of details come and go - prog guitars, dark leads, trippy vocal whispers. In these hyperactive times of short attention spans, Serser provides perfectly slow-release pleasures.

Sharing a selection of music that has been put together by Lord Of The Isles is something we are beyond excited for. To showcase his perception of Far Blue, he has compiled a mix that conveys a limitless feeling like a far off horizon. Although Lord Of The Isles is an inspiring producer, he decided to take a different approach. 'Mirage Mountains' contains none of his own productions, but he has selected beautiful tracks from other talented artists only such as John Hopkins, Mary Yalex and Our Lady Of The Flowers.

"A limitless far off horizon with texture and noise. A distorted haze of the farthest away places. Making them seem almost imaginary."

With a humble appearance Sevensol is not just an excellent selector, DJ, runs esteemed label Kann and Long Vehicle, has released beautiful music, he also is part of creating a lot within the musical scenes. A longstanding figure of the Leipzig scene, behind the counter at record shops and DJ-ing since ages. Resident at Nachtdigital Festival and appearences at Panorama Bar, De School, Bassiani, Waking Life and countless places in Europe and Asia in the last 15 years. He served us tunes live from THF Radio on a very hot Berlin summer night. 

'Spinning Grounds' by @katharina-davids is all about opening grounds for newcomers to spin their music - to explore a wide range of genres from house, Detroit, deep house, minimal, dub techno to break beat....
