It was a response, a pivot from their plans to do SPEED DATING TONIGHT! but having to postpone it due to the COVID-19 pandemic. During the summer of 2020, a song was premiered every week. Each video was made carefully under quarantine/lockdown conditions. The tenor in this video is Leslie Tay. Pianist is Aloysius Fong. Directed by Eleanor Tan. Hi everyone!! I'm Cookie197, a high school freshman who has been teaching himself composition for 2 years. This is my first attempt to write a movie soundtrack style thingXD

The piece starts off with a really dark scene, after that , our hero appears!! He fights several bosses and saves the world ( what a cliché XD)

This time, I am lazy and didn't clean the score because I used Sibelius and Noteperformer ( trial version ) and imported it to musescore. Noteperformer is just freaking awsome^_^

These songs were written in 2017 (the cover is a rare picture of drunk me at the time), which is when I started to realize I was very likely not a special snowflake and I had to stop complaining about things not always going the way I want, yet that's exactly what I kept doing - to whine about things not going the way I wanted - but, in a brand new indie pop fashion rather than long text messages. (How exciting.)

The production process was very long and boring as I was always changing bits and lryics. After completing the recording in 2019, it got to the point I was fed up with them and put them aside, focusing on other musical projects with my friends (which you can find here on the Collettivo page as well).

I do still believe the songs are quite dumb, however: lately my friend Loup said he wanted to listen to them and gave me a very long and deatiled feedback to convince me there's no reason why these songs should not be available online after all, at least some of them (three out of five, the other two are just too silly), despite their limitations. He's right I guess, so here I am uploading this. I also owe it to all the people I've involved in this and bothered with my demos for years - sorry guys, I'm sure you'll forgive me now that you are mentioned in the "thanks to" section below!

This episode tells the story of LEDC- the Latino Economic Development Corporation-a nonprofit at the epicenter of our nation’s multiple crises, from COVID19 to the loss of businesses, jobs and housing to the assault on Latinos by the outgoing President and his congressional allies. Marla Bilonick, LEDC’s executive director, credits her staff and the indispensable partnerships she has built with municipalities from Washington DC to Baltimore County and Puerto Rico in creating policy solutions to seemingly intractable challenges. As a CDFI-Community Development Financial Institution-an alternative and more flexible provider of capitol to non-traditional borrowers, LEDC has kept Latino small businesses afloat where banks could or would not. Keeping families whole, through counseling, capitol, organizing and advocacy requires 24/7 responsiveness. And Marla expects a next wave of foreclosure and evictions. We were talking about the toll of anti-Latino rhetoric and policies on the community when we learned the terrible news about the storming of our Capital. We were shaken to the core. But Marla is positive and undeterred. That is the leadership we need in Washington DC and nationally. Listen. &nbsp;
