Raised in Manitoba, Canada. Dakota "dak." is a Kelowna based singer, songwriter and producer who started making music in his bedroom in 2021 to pass the time and now is starting to make his mark in the electronic music scene. His genres include tropical house, indie electronic and vapor soul. His debut single "Remember Me" was released on June 3rd, 2022. The inspiration behind the name "dak", was Dakota's nickname growing up and stuck into his later life.

Driven by a passion for the best in bass music, circling around UK Garage, Bassline, Grime, House and everything good in-between, in 2014 #NightBass boss @ACSlater made it his mission to expose North America to these strongly under-represented genres and in doing so, he's established club and record label Night Bass as a wildly successful, internationally renowned institution for ground breaking, forward-thinking dance music that's spearheading an underground movement across the country.
