« What do we know ? », il faut une certaine audace pour nommer ainsi un premier EP. Et de l’audace, les membres du groupe The Kinds n’en manquent pas ! C’est d’abord sur scène que ce trio s’est forgé une réputation, écumant les salles de la capitale pour façonner un son qui les caractérise : Mélange de Power-Rock énergique et de touches Électro subtilement dosées. Des titres aux mélodies fortes et des textes qui reflètent leur personnalité énergique. Aujourd’hui, « What do we know ? » est la concrétisation de plusieurs années d’expérimentations musicales pour ces artistes déterminés de laisser leur empreinte sur la scène rock.

« What do we know ? » It takes a certain audacity to name your debut EP with such a title. That same audacity serves as a driving force for the members of the group The Kinds ! It was first on stage that this trio forged their reputation, storming through the venues of the French capital whilst shaping a sound which now characterises them : A mix of energetic power rock with a subtle dose of electro, songs with strong melodies and lyrics that reflect their energetic personality. Today « What do we know » is the result of several years of musical experimentation for these artists eager to leave their mark on the rock scene.

Jan Sloane is an English singer-songwriter, guitarist and music video producer, based in Paris.  From Stonehenge to Chernobyl and football to 3D movies, his songs cover a range of areas which interest him.  His music is typified by catchy tunes and humorous lyrics, often in an ironic way.

Jan Sloane's style has been described as cross-over music, with both rock and comedy influences.  He has been inspired by a variety of artists including Kiss, Bloodhound Gang, Nirvana and Queen.

Although a solo artist, Jan Sloane often performs with local acts, such as Culture Bay and Dark Angel Knight.  He writes the lyrics in English and sings parts in French on the Paris open mic circuit.  He doesn't play covers publicly, preferring to sing originals and parodies.

Jan Sloane has used YouTube to publish his music videos.  They are characterised by picture animation, transitions and cheesy special effects, edited in PowerDirector.  The clips add another dimension to his sounds without taking himself too seriously in the process.
