After 20 something years Beatport created the genre for me (Trance - Raw, Deep, Hypnotic).
I am yet to hear any other DJ really nail it yet, but Im sure there is some prodigy 20 something that gets it like this (90s trance style) and if that is you then please get in touch maybe we can work together.

Anyway here goes; 20 plus years of fiddling around with the sound that sits in between techno, progressive and trance - this is what you get.  This reminds me of the time when Sasha and the biggest Djs in the world were playing the sound - just before the Dutch took over and changed it.
This is a sound that is ripe.

Essential Progressive Breaks mixed by Danny Bonnici || Balance Music

This is your Game is an ancient dark-side Drum'n'Bass tune  I produced in 1998 from the dusty archives of my hard drive being my first studio produced tracked in a DAW (Cubase Audio with a Yamaha CBX-D5 audio interface). This tune made an appearance on Optimum Recordings (Perth, Australia)debut compilation, Tides in Motion (released 1999). No plug-in synths were used - this is all hardware baby! My monitoring speakers and engineering skills were sub par back then however there are some solid ideas in this tune I feel. Enjoy!

A 3 hour mix of Trip hop, chilled beats, scratch samples and grooves. Inspired by some of my favourite old school chill-out tunes and 'DJ Shadow' style mixes, this handpicked journey moves through some classic 12" records and digital beats, along with a few unexpected additions from my private collection.
