“Forever Only (One and Only)” continues the story that began with Love Risk (Interlude) — a reflection on vulnerability, growth, and the balance between love and purpose. In Love Risk (Interlude), J 2 5 explored the hesitation that comes after heartbreak — the fear of giving your all again. Forever Only (One and Only) moves forward from that space, embracing the idea of loving freely and unconditionally, even when it means letting go. It’s about understanding that love doesn’t always have to end in possession; sometimes, true love is allowing someone — and yourself — to keep growing.

This track also showcases a new side of J 2 5, using a different resonance in his voice that brings a warmer, more soulful tone without straying from his signature depth. It’s a slightly different sound — experimental yet authentic — reflecting his continual evolution as an artist. While it steps outside the familiar, it still carries the emotion, truth, and vulnerability that define his music.

It's a blessing to be able to create music and if someone enjoys my work, that's icing on the cake! All blessings come from God.

As a retired DOD Civil Service worker, I have time to record some. I have been recording at home sice around 1990 and some of my tracks are very old.  I‘ve had 50+ years in bands playing music of many types. I still play the club scene 3 to 4 times a month. Life is good!

I'm at the beginning of my songwriting career—finally sharing the flood of lyrics that have been pouring out of me. Though I don’t sing or play instruments, I’ve been using AI tools to transform the songs I hear in my head into emotionally resonant demos. These tracks span a variety of genres—from country-pop/rock to dance, rock, ballads, and funk-pop—showcasing the full range of my songwriting voice.

I have now minimised all my musical equipment down to a single arranger keyboard, the Yamaha PSR-SX900.

Originally I had created all the features of this keyboard using multiple pieces of MIDI equipment all controlled through a Windows tablet. I created a YouTube video describing it all:

Kei was born and bred in Southampton, a city in the south of England Uk. Most famous as a port for cruise ships. 
Kei trained as a Mechanical Fitter at the Esso refinery near Southampton and went on to study for higher qualifications in engineering and management.
He enjoyed writing many short stories in his spare time. His book Tales with a Twist is available on Kindle. He won competition prizes for his writing.
He became an engineering draughtsman, then a product Development Engineer before setting up a successful online business retailing bathroom and kitchen brassware in the early days of the Internet.
Still maintaining an interest in music, Kei dabbled with keyboards and guitars in his limited spare time.
Always a short story writer throughout his life, Kei turned his attention to singer/song writing full-time after finishing his Internet retail days.
With plenty of free time now at his disposal Kei knuckled down on the guitar and he continues to write and record original songs with vigour.
