Hi All, I've been returning to my roots recently, writing a series of tracks that serve as the soundtrack to an imagined archetypal Role-Playing Game (RPG) for computers or consoles.  This movement of the piece broadly follows a narrative in which the player's avatar (the Hero) in the game enters a shrouded fog-where shadows take corporeal form.  After encountering the shadows and attempting to relay a message, they attack and the hero battles them to a stalemate. As they tend their wounds, a dialog between the wary hero and the misunderstood shadows ensues.

All instrumentation used in this piece was created by Orchestral Tools, one of my favourite sample library studios and publishers.  I particularly enjoyed using their solo string "First Chairs" library for the string sounds, and the brass and choir from the Metropolis Ark 1 epic orchestral library that OT released recently.

I'm a composer with credits for film and concert music, and my music has won or been nominated for awards from Western Canadian Music Awards, the Independent Music Awards, the Geminis, and funders such as the Canada Council, Saskatchewan Arts Board, FACTOR and the SOCAN Foundation. 

In April, 2021 I received my PhD in Interdisciplinary Studies from the University of Regina, where I wrote a thesis on algorithmic music and its impact upon the composer. during that time I created several apps, including a musical score for the university campus using augmented reality on an iPhone.  

I am based in the Toronto area, and would love to hear from anyone who wants to comment on my music, who might want to collaborate on a project that needs a great score, or who just wants to say "hi."
