This song is dedicated to  Lou Ottens (died Mar, 6th 2021).
He was Dutch engineer and inventor, best known as the inventor of the cassette tape. There were so many memories to an audio tape. Here is my song. Thanks Lou!

This will be a 6 song concept piece detailing the highlights of Vlad III (Vlad the Impaler) life. All songs are based in fact and with no fictional vampire references. This is the true story of the man behind the myth.

Vlad III or (Vlad Tepes) was born in 1431 in Sighisoara as the second of four brothers born into the noble family of Vlad II Dracul. After his father’s induction into the Order of the Dragon, created by Holy Roman Emperor Sigismund for the defense of Christian Europe against the Ottoman Empire, Vlad moved to Târgoviște, Walachia, in 1436 where his father assumed leadership of the Wallachian Voivode. Throughout his younger days, Vlad and his brothers were highly educated and as they grew older were taught how to strategize and fight.

In 1442, the Ottomans called for a diplomatic meeting and invited Vlad Dracul. He saw an opportunity to educate his younger sons in the art of diplomacy so he brought Vlad III and Radu with him. But Dracul and his two sons were captured and held hostage by the Ottoman diplomats instead. The captors told him that he would be released — but he had to leave his sons. Dracul, believing it was the safest option for his family, agreed. Fortunately for Vlad III and his brother, during their time as hostages, the two princes received lessons in science, philosophy, and the art of war.

However, things were far worse back home. A coup orchestrated by local warlords — known as the boyar — overthrew Dracul. In 1447, he was killed in the swamps behind his home while his oldest son was tortured, blinded, and buried alive.

Vlad III was freed soon after his family’s death, and at this time he began to use the name Vlad Dracula, meaning son of the dragon.  His brother Radu swore allegiance to the Ottomans and stayed. Vlad swore vengeance on the ones responsible for his father and brother’s death and began his journey back home to claim the thrown.

Doing this as a hobby.  I just like the idea of making music and it be online. Also I love coming across raw talent and underappreciated artists. 

Growing up I always had a curiosity for music. I was never serious about being a musician but always thought it would be awesome to have my own studio one day. Well now I'm a semi-stable adult that is ready to have a constructive hobby. Plus considering how much technology has changed attaining a basic version of a childhood dream is so much more achievable. 

Most of my musical experience is playing bass guitar. I've dabbled with guitar, piano, and clarinet. Now though I want to dive deeper into guitar and piano as well as a drum set. Even though I enjoy singing by myself (or karaoke after a few drinks) Its my lowest priority. Also I'm just getting used to using a DAW which feels like picking up additional instruments as well. 

My goals for joining soundcloud is to just grow as a musician. Long term goals are to write for every genre and be a multi instrumentalist. Short term goals are to get stuff I've written on bass, guitar, and piano online. 

My 'mainstream' influences are Serj Tankian, Sia, Tech N9ne, R.A. The Rugged Man, Immortal Technique, Alexi Laiho, Dimebag, Victor Wooten, Les Claypool, Fieldy of Korn, Buckethead, (hed) p.e., and Sully from Godsmack. Oh and Dave Groll too!


During my short time on this platform it's been great. Theres alot of great music here. Lately it's been users like you that have been the most inspiring. I completely appreciate every listen, like, repost, or comment. Also I look forward to listening to your music too.
