Eliezer is the second artist responsible of Deadly Weapons, for his remix of Diskoteca he proposes a speeded up version of the original. High energy should be the first adjective that comes to mind, by blending several elements of the original track Eliezer’s remix is a maximalist and complex banger. Eliezer managed masterfully to compile the nuances and details of the original track and propose a energetic and dancing tune.

Boasting a range of local talent such as ‘Calypso Records’ label boss Iñigo Vontier, ‘Duro’ co-founder Theus Mago and ‘Hard Fist Records’ head honcho Tushen Raï and Neskeh, ‘The Bonfire’ serves up a plethora of unique music rooted in the darker realms of disco and electro. Iñigo Vontier sets the tone with a glitched out, mind-bending cut in ‘Prado’. Alejandro Paz, Nuclear Digital Transistor & Kabinett explore the musical spectrum further with the percussive, punchy ‘Monolito’, while Tushen Raï & Neskeh’s ‘Tsé Tsé’ and Mytron’s ‘Más Ramas’ blur the line between techno, disco and electro. Drifting from the psychedelic, tripped out sounds of Scadta & The Virginia Valley’s ‘The Sky Is Empty’ to the more energetic, sonic ‘Camina Conmigo’ from Alvaro Cabana & Julian Sanza, this melting pot of talent makes for a dynamic EP. Kaputt.wav is the record label of Bogota’s Kaputt club, a venue at the heart of the city’s underground scene as well as playing host to occasional international DJs such as Bradley Zero and Moscoman. Steve Boyd aka Cyence (@soundofcyence) has been holding down the residency in Belfast’s longest-running music HQ “Thompson’s Garage” which has played a key role in shaping the city’s music scene by showcasing all things beyond electronic and innovative and for his debut release he has been invited by the progressivist label “@Correspondant” run by Jennifer Cardini.

This DJ turned producer has created a 4 track EP called “Sound of Cyence” inspired by his signature marathon six-hour set that spans from Italo to cosmic to pulsating hyper-strut funk and we are delighted to premiere “Raven”, an undulated sound that sways us between past, present and future.

You may already know this one… We lock-in the first reload of our burgeoning story so far with a return to Darlyn Vlys’s ‘Wuzu’. Previously featured on the second V/A ‘Muy Duro’ EP, it’s loaded with an instantly recognisable desert-bound vocal, a warm undulating bassline and that perfect balance between space and tribal intensity. And now it’s loaded with a new original and remixes, too…

‘Arrival’ is brand new material from the rising Spanish artist. Perfect for big entrances and mix intros, once again Vlys has nailed that balance between the space aged and tribal with its staccato voodoo voices and purring, velvet machine prowess.

Remix-wise Disco Sentimento founder Tyu strips back ‘Wuzu’ for a woozy percussive twist while Modular Project add a whole new layer of bassline space dust to their remix of ‘Arrival’. Both complement Vlys’s originals, his hip-slinking hypnotic signature and the label’s ever-flourishing remit perfectly.

We expect we’ll hear more from Darlyn on Duro very very soon ...

Jason Peters is a DJ/Producer and the label boss of Roam Recordings. Over the last decade he and his label’s output have been at the forefront of the indie dance/dark disco movement. While his music centers around 80s italo, 90s rave, and contemporary indie dance and dark disco, you will also hear rare disco, psychedelic techno, and early house. 

Jason Peters is also a long time staple of the San Francisco dance music community where he plays regularly for some of SF’s more discerning clubs and promoters such as Sunset Sound System, Monarch, The Great Northern, and F8. On Jason Peters’ travels outside of the Bay Area he has played events such as SundaySunday, CRSSD festival, Block 9 at Glastonbury, Red Light Radio, Kater Blau, and the Alfresco festival.

Ransom Note puts it best: “Just like Jason's own productions, which also appear on the label, the music is dark and hypnotic, cosmic and driving - sounds that'll take you down a wormhole. There are a lot of labels and artists treading similar terrain these days, but Jason was spearheading this new wave of exciting and unique dance music a long time ago."
