MUSICAL MOON MUSING EXPERIMENT - Sept. 17th / 2020 to Aug. 22nd / 2021

This is the first installment in a 12 Synodic month journey to capture the correlation between sound, emotion and cosmic energy. Each mix is created within the 13 hours leading up to the crest of the moon cycle which is the best time to harness the power of the new / full moon. Through meditation and connecting to the current astrological energy ( signs, planets & elements ) I then create a dj mix from that inspiration. This is a collaborative project with Amaris (Tanya Lee) from Body Art Motion who has consulted on the overall project as well as provided the incredible opening & closing meditations.

I never intended on making this set public, just because I am hyper critical of the fact that the energy drops down fast between two of the later songs....and well, I have not actively deejayed several of these tracks before. But! I felt like its still a fun set to share. Enjoy <3

Guilty Pleasures

This set took place at Paradise Lodge in Platanillo, Costa Rica, where I was living, surfing, co-creating, DJ-ing, and making magic for much of 2020, on the night that the man would have burned at the 2020 Burning Man.  

We tapped into the Multiverse via a virtual Burning Man portal called “The Sparkleverse,” and we also had a legendary dance party! 

At the time of “The Burn,” we went outside, said some prayers and intentions and expressions around the fire, which had a man made out of driftwood standing on an upcycled satellite dish, and then we danced and sang around the fire like lunatics having the best time of our lives. Then, I went inside and kicked it off with a good ol’ Lion King remix to get everyone into dance mode. It worked! We had an extremely fun night, and now you can enjoy the vibrations that we danced to in the jungle! Also, it was a special birthday for my friend Trinidad at midnight, so I put on Happy Birthday by Stevie Wonder, in case you were wondering about the Stevie Wonder interlude <3
