In 2024 while rebranding and rereleasing my music catalog, I took the opportunity to consolidate certain singles and EPs and combine them as new projects. From '21-'23 I released multiple singles and EPs tallying up to 21 songs as an independent artist. Four of those singles and one EP titled "3PEAT', have now been combined into this mixtape "That Was Fun". 

The title is self-explanatory, those releases embody the same energy of a critical, exciting, and amusing time of my life. As a young artist, I was eager to push music out and chase that big hit. Distracting myself from the gift of life, chasing numbers and validation. It was a necessary learning experience for me, now present day I have surrendered and allowed myself to enjoy the creative process once again. The highs and lows of life, like I said, That Was Fun.

Car Thoughts, originally released in October of 2023, now rebranded in 2024 after Jay Daniels relaunched his music catalog.

Car Thoughts is composed of 6 meaningful songs relating to Jay Daniels' strength experience and hope in dealing with alcoholism and addiction. Don't get it twisted, sobriety is beautiful and spiritual once you surrender and live by the 12 steps.

This project presents a wide range of emotion and energy. Delivering songs like "Little Luck" and "So Dumb" which offer laid-back acoustics, perfectly placed drum kits, and raw, honest lyrics and vocals. The other songs on the EP such as "French Vanilla" and "Lil Mama" pick up the pace a bit, offering a flavorful and upbeat tempo followed by creative lyrics and wordplay. Life is a ride, we all deal with trials and tribulations, how are you going to respond?

Jay Daniels (Daniel Francis Judson) is a music producer, rapper, singer, and songwriter from Northport, NY. Born and raised in Long Island, Jay has been honing in on his skill set since he was 13 years old. 

In 2021 he released his first single "Go Smoke" on all major streaming services, receiving much love and support. Jay released multiple singles and EPs tallying up to 21 songs as an independent artist from '21-'23. Gaining much knowledge and experience, unaware of the daunting yet beautiful challenges a DIY artist will face.

In the year 2024 after gaining insight on the music industry; Jay relaunched his music catalog. Now present day, he has committed his life to spirituality and sobriety; spreading experience, strength, and hope through his music as a producer and songwriter. Addressing the ups and downs we all face with a flavorful, melodic, distinctive sound and taste. Jay is currently working on a 14 song album set to release in '24-'25.
