What a lovely tune...the tone of the instrument and the poignant, contrapuntal melodies are, to employ an overused term, "sweet". Fun instrument, eh?

It's my great privilege to mess, beyond reason, with Hank's solo banjo instrumental of this old-time tune.

Hank Tilbury: banjo, original arrangement
Dan: percussion, guitars, bass, melodica, jaw harp, analog synth

Hank credits the tune to the clawhammer playing of Sidna Myers, field recorded in 1965. 
Dan credits his arrangement to overexposure to electronic/folk fusion in the mid 1990s.
