With an ear plugged into some of the most iconic producers and artists of all time and equipped with a refined understanding of hip hop, Kmattik has burst onto the West Coast hip hop scene with his heavy percussive sound. Galvanized by Michael Jackson, arguably the greatest pop act of all time, Kmattik looks to chase and create his own golden legacy with his astutely clever lyricism that tells diverse stories from myriad perspectives.

Biography

When Kmattik first embarked on his remarkable musical journey, financial destitution barred him from any fancy studio resources, rich networks, or advertising budgets. Therefore, he had to resort to his own resourcefulness and began to write, vocalize and produce all aspects of his music. Due to this, every second of every song has Kmattik’s unique blend of individuality absolutely and utterly embedded into it. Every heartfelt chorus, hard-hitting verse, and hypnotic beat are immediately identifiable as his own due to the sheer attention to detail and arduous amounts of time put into the music.

This emphasis on individuality and self is most apparent in the song “Run My Race” in which Kmattik speaks on how his journey is his own exclusively and only he can undertake it. He also preaches the emphasis on hard work and the fruits of turmoil and labor throughout his discography. Kmattik strongly believes that by sticking to the, anyone can rise out of destitution and find success as he has. For example, his music was featured on the viral TV show Empire which Kmattik claims are only the tip of the iceberg for him.

Kmattik is also an equally talented producer. Drawing influence from Timbaland who is one of hip hop’s finest producers dating back to the early 90s, Kmattik also utilized unheard noises and sounds to give listeners a completely fresh sonic experience with every new track. Like Michael Jackson and Timbaland, Kmattik is completely unafraid to change up styles and experiment with musical styles and delve into other genres. That is what provides his discography such diversity which only broadens his musical appeals to audiences across the United States and beyond.

His tracks are short, succinct, and concise. They preach detailed messages of singularity, underdog stories, and rises to glory. These attributes are what make Kmattik such a fascinating artist.  His music consists of simple messages laid over complex instrumentals which then evoke infinitely intricate emotions and ideas within the listeners. Through his diegetic music, Kmattik allows the listener to perceive the world through his eyes where every hurdle can be cleared with sheer self-determination and willpower.
