Auteur-compositeur de chansons françaises qui n'attendent que de bons interprètes. 
Après des études au conservatoire et musicologie à la Sorbonne, j'ai enseigné l'éducation musicale à des élèves en école élémentaire de 1982 à 2021.

Dès 1989, alors que je découvrais la MAO, j'ai commencé à faire des centaines d'arrangements de chansons pour enfants ou adultes dans tous les styles pour les faire chanter. Cette solide expérience m'a amené dans un premier temps à composer des chansons pour mes élèves. Puis, je me suis lancé dans un répertoire pour adultes. 132 chansons à ce jour !

Mon répertoire va de la danse traditionnelle française (La bourrée du maumarié), à l’EDM (La tête dans les étoiles) en passant par la musique classique (Double concerto pour violon, violoncelle et orchestre à cordes) et la chanson française, le gros du panier, avec le plus souvent cette pointe d’humour qui fait tant défaut aujourd’hui dans beaucoup de chansons, (ce qui est étonnant quand on voit autant d’humoristes fleurir aux six points de l’Hexagone…)

Même si certains apprécient ma façon de chanter, mes chansons sont faites pour de vrais interprètes qui aiment monter sur scène.

Author-composer and performer... by default of French songs. 
After studying at the Conservatoire and musicology at the Sorbonne, I taught music education to elementary school pupils from 1982 to 2021.

As early as 1989, when I was just discovering computer-assisted music, I started making hundreds of arrangements of songs for children and adults in all styles, to get them to sing along. This solid experience initially led me to compose songs for my students. Then I started working on a repertoire for adults. 132 songs to date!

My repertoire ranges from traditional French dance (La bourrée du maumarié), to EDM (La tête dans les étoiles), classical music (Double concerto for violin, cello and string orchestra) and French chanson, the mainstay of my repertoire, most often with that touch of humor so lacking in so many songs these days (which is astonishing when you see so many humorists flourishing at the six points of the Hexagon...).

Even if some people like the way I sing, my songs are made for real performers who like to get up on stage.

Who'd a Thunk? is a non-traditional experiment in the creation of music, sound, and the expansion of 'The Funk'. Focusing more on ideas made from passion of sound, rhythm, and feeling, rather than following modern music formula and producing for-profit works, Who'd a Thunk? creates soundscapes aimed to inspire further thought and creation based on an amalgamation of everything listened to, enjoyed, studied, or experienced, and the celebration of our significant circumstances of existing on a planet within an atmosphere where sound is even possible. As for me, I'm Sean Penalber. Very likely the only one so far. I set off back in 2012 with the goal to investigate the meanings of existence and share any success I found with the universe. That's when I began Drawbook.net and collecting art, information, and experience from the people i met along the way. A few years later, I started @theartofceilings after opening snapchat while my phone was on a table and the camera was pointed straight up at the ceiling and I thought, "hey, that's a cool shot," and I've kept it up since. Couple years later, while visiting a friend in Georgia, he taught me a few chords on the ukulele (I trained in school as a percussionist) and I became obsessed and finally started creating and recording music, something I had always wanted to do! Then, in 2017, I picked up the bass I had owned and hardly played since high school and started Who'd a Thunk?! Since then, I've transitioned over to the keyboard/synthesizer as playing stringed instruments really hurts my hands and fingers. The goal is to create passionate music, pioneer new sounds and genres, and inspire others to do the same! I create music and art to inspire, question, and invoke reality and surreality. I have studied and performed over seven years of Improv and have been an official player at ComedySportz Houston since 2018! I also dabble in performance art so catch me while you can. Thinking about running for president 2028+ after I meet the age requirement of 35, but who knows what'll happen in that time

The Welton Shipwreck is a UK-based rock duo made up of Stu Head and John Culkin. Formed at the start of the 2020 pandemic lockdown period, their songs are written and recorded by means of long-distance collaboration from their homes in Scotland and Yorkshire. The music they make combines elements of shoegaze, post rock, folk and psychedelic.

Stu and John are old friends of over 20 years. Both originally from the Greater Manchester area, they met at university in Leeds in 2000. The band name refers to a street they lived on as students.

Both Stu and John sing, play guitar, bass, keyboards and drums across their various tracks (along with a few less conventional instruments.) They mix and produce all of their own music.
