We proudly welcome to the label another fantastic and very promising Artist, coming out from the UK, Flaws. The young Producer already has done solid releases on important labels such us ANAOH, Float Records and Platform 22. We are happy to debut him on Illegal Alien Records with his brand new work called 'Theta State', which is simply another outstanding release from this super talented artist.


Theta State EP 

This EP is an expression of reaching Theta State through deep mediations. Theta is the intriguing border between the conscious and the subconscious worlds, through this state reality becomes very translucent, possibilities of infinite imagination, higher state of mind and manifestation are all a factor. 

To explore the subconscious mind is completely mysterious, to get close and intimate with the projector, the realisation that patterns of behaviour, beliefs and intellectual ideas all stem from this subconscious realm.

The vastness of the Universe, the human soul and the dissolution of time are interconnected subjects and topics of countless fables and myths, all derived from human fascination with the infinite abyss of the cosmos and the unknown. 
Electronic music is a tool with which we enhance these imaginary landscapes and it thrives in the prurient and inquisitive mind. 
Nørbak’s “Flor do Fatalismo” is designed as a transposition of a deep human feeling into music: the longing. 
A paradox between the void and our necessity to belong. 
Each track in this body of work happens in a hypothetical scenery and stands on its own as if questioning our coherence, spirituality and the sovereignty of the human mind. 
Penetrating, spell-binding, unrestrained but eventually earthly and familiar, the abstract character of Artur’s music invites ingenuity and artistry from both the performers and the crowd.

Jay Clarke returns to his imprint BLACKAXON for his 6th installment which will be dropping in 4 parts across September and October 2021. The project titled ‘Riders of the Storm’ was announced earlier in the year across his social media channels where he made 4 previously unreleased original tracks available to remix as part of a competition. This was opened up to all production levels, with the idea to give lesser experienced artists the chance to remix, get creative and most importantly have fun. Jay has carefully selected his favourite remixes which will now be presented on the label.

It's not the first Vertical Spectrum's contribution on Faut Section. But it is his first solo ep. 

As always the polish artist delivers heavy machinery, 4 flawlessly designed tracks,  totally distinct from each other but all of them following a guiding line, which is his personal touch.

The ep is a blend of looped, long-lasting and patterned sounds of various parts of an engine or an engine as a whole machine, perfectly oiled, working at a full capacity. Feral, wild and untamed techno at its finest.

Premiere: Echelon - SR046 [SRIE Records]

The term quality over quantity is painfully overused, but in Jay Clarke’s case it’s a fitting descriptive for the way the UK artist approaches every facet of his musical career. A trusted Klockworks artist, he’s contributed two acclaimed EPs (KW18, KW28) and a track (‘Perdita’) to the KW20 compilation, while Ben Klock has selected him to play Photon events at Berghain, Bassiani and Awakenings at Gashouder.

From 2015 to 2020, Jay was a trusted fabric resident before graduating from their resident’s programme; a colourful and dynamic DJ, playing across the Techno spectrum. He is best known for his energetic and groovy peak-time DJ sets across Europe and beyond, taking heavy influence from 90’s Techno. He seamlessly blends together modern rollers with percussive loopy hard-groove, alongside straight-up heavy bangers. DJ Mag rightly heralded his skills, stating: ‘Jay is considered in his approach, but unconstricted by stylistic boundaries, happy to mix nosebleed slammers with heady rollers and even more upbeat or electro efforts’.

Jay also runs the thoughtfully-curated BLACKAXON label, a creative outlet allowing him to showcase sounds from across the Techno and wider Electronic spectrum, including releases from emerging talents such as Yant and David Piras, forthcoming releases from Kaylah and Alex Morgan, as well as his own free-wheeling work. 

 In 2020 Jay went on to release his debut EP on Slam’s iconic Soma Records imprint, followed by a remix of Goldie at the behest of the Metalheadz legend, with further releases to come on BLACKAXON and Soma.

Positive, hard-working and a gifted DJ and producer, Jay Clarke’s determination and unwavering passion for learning put him in a class of his own. Within a few short years Jay has established himself as one to watch and, with the backing of some of the techno world’s most respected outfits, he is on course to exceed all expectations.
