Duke Zilla - Vinyl Mixtape For Jazz-o-Tech

Duke Zilla is Dutch DJ, photographer and drummer Robert Repko on an adventurous trip, combining both acoustic and electronic vibrations. 
Future and past blend in a tribadelic mix of sexy, mystic and melancholic sounds, embedded in a transcendental feast of beats. 

Inspired by rhythmic based music, Duke Zilla was drawn to jazz, funk and african beats while playing as a drummer with different bands from an early age. 

By shifting to producing, he applied a more electronic feel as well as a luscious club element. 

His coming debut EP tells a cinematic like multi-layered story of space travelling in hypnotic soulful atmospheres. Always with a drum driven approach, providing the backdrop to imaginative underground sounds.

London/Milan based DJ and producer. House, Tech-House, Progressive. Sevenbreads is resident DJ at Elektika Nights and Subbass in London, two of the most exciting parties in the city. He has recently released  tracks with BeatRude Records, and Elektika, London among which the succesful "Off da wall" and "Seventribes" with DJ Banga and "La Maggica" with Look@F. He regularly plays in several London's and international venues including Ministry of Sound, Queen of Hoxton, Fluid Bar, Funky Buddha, Most Cafe,The Basing House and Scudo Beach and Sun Club in Corsica. Sevenbreads starts his musical career as a drummer on the Italian jazz scene where he performs his professional gig at the age of 17 playing with jazz legends such has Jimmy Cobb, Tommy Campbell, and Roberto Gatto. He then set up his own band playing soul, funk and disco. At that time he started experimenting in electronic music by using one of the first Roland MC100 sequencers and composed his first dance tracks. His background as a drummer still strongly influences his current electronic production. His music and DJ sets are all about an original fusion of influences of different genre (soul, latin, world music) all kept together by inspired melodies, deep energy and original house and tech grooves. His sounds are a very personal blend of futuristic noises, retro flavours and dirty mixes which make his music deep, warm and passionate...definitely not minimal!!

The project is born in order to merge tradition with modernity, improvisation and experimentation, and to create a new genre: techno-jazz. Finally the elegant arrangements and intricate jazz solos can develop along the modern structures of Techno and Electronica, taking the listeners on an emotional, hypnotic and intense journey.
