Beat Movement is a duo based in Berlin composed by Mattia Prete & Simone Scardino.
In the beginning of their musical journey their style was heavily inspired by the sound of the 90s with fast grooves made for the dancefloor. The decision to open up to new and more abstract electronic experiments was quickly made when they moved from Rome to Berlin one year ago. Aside from producing and djing, the young duo manages two music labels that are respectively specialised in techno and electronic jazz. Their work, label and productions reflect musical diversity with plentiful support from well known and respected artists within the scene like: Ben Sims, Blawan, Endlec, Umwelt, Pacou, Dj Pete, Sleeparchive, Dave Clarke, Tensal, Detroit Techno Militia and many more. Their objective is always to be in progress and to avoid staying with one certain sound for a long time.

Unknown artist might not be that much into numerology, but it is still incredible to celebrate 6 years of this project. We really want to thank everyone that has supported us, visited our parties, and played our records... Unknown artist starts this fourth installment with a murky ambient track on A1 before delving into trippy xylophonic techno on A2 and finally going full out mental on A3. 
B1 starts with a more restrained cut - but that's just a ruse, you are in the eye of the storm- because B2 with it's frantic pace picks it up for a fitting brutal final of a well rounded, versatile techno record.

Jazz-O-Tech Records introduces a new release series on the label by the name of Black Gardenia.
If the White Gardenia series combines mystic jazz music with deep tech electronic grooves, Black Gardenia’s intends to associate it with the roots of techno. The first output “Black Gardenia Vol. 1” is composed by Berlin-based duo BEAT MOVEMENT.

The duo presents an unusual, psychedelic and moving techno jazz EP in collaboration with techno pioneer Sunil Sharpe, Italian saxophonist and composer Gianni Mimmo and the jazz quartet Gamapawa.

Black Gardenia is a mesmerizing aesthetic sound experience, taking the listener on abstract journeys and into cinematic sceneries. The title track “Silent Rain” opens the A-side with a soft and emotional fusion of drones and saxophone, followed by the sovereign and psychedelic slow groove of the track “Aphex Twin shot my neck”. The B-side is a dancefloor killer combination between Sunil Sharpe’s intelligent techno remix of “Silent Rain” and Gamapawa’s featuring track “Untitled Reconstruction”, where drums and saxophone reach the speed of 150 bpm.

Black Gardenia will be distributed worldwide in 300 limited edition copies.

Subsist is now a Spanish institution that has has been releasing exquisite techno variants since 2009.

The new release titled Decade marks the tenth year of its history and have brought in some heavyweight talents such as Oscar Mulero, SHXCXCHCXSH, Stanislav Tolkachev, Group and Beat Movement respectively.

Italian duo Beat Movement have had their music appear on labels such as PoleGroup’s sublabel AINE, Advanced (Black), Wunderblock and their own DLBM. imprint they run with D-Leria, and it’s their track that has caught our attention.

For this DT:Premiere we selected “Behind The Wall” that’s an abstract, analogue and glitching take which uses modular riffs and cyclical tones to induce a trippy and hypnotic aesthetic. Rough and rolling underneath, this cut is a pristine example of organic vibes and killer precision rolled into one.
