Upavas is a unique artist and a true Goa pioneer. He came to Goa by accident in 1986 and fell in love . His love stuck and evolved with the scene until today. Upavas began writing electronic music in 2002 and earned himself a reputation for dark & twilight PSY over the years. He has been a part of Sangoma Records' artist roster since 2014, where he happily continues his musical mischief. He is currently working on a new album. Get ready to go PSYCHEDELIC!

Jazzmine - Summer Blues Pt.1 - 2014

Sangoma Records series continues with an exclusive mix by COSINUS including his freshest tunes.

Cosinus was born in Germany 1979 and currently living in Biel, Switzerland. Michael discovered the world of electronic music at the age of 13 and was inspired by artist like Yello, Kraftwerk and the sounds of Detroit techno and house music. His first steps in his DJ career started behind a pair of turntables at a local youth club in his hometown. After 20 years of rocking dancefloors with his energetic sets he put his focus now on his own musical creations that he plays in his livesets (and occasional DJ sets). Cosinus is signed to Sangoma Records and released tracks on labels such as Woodog Records, Macky Mad House Records, Subsystem Records,Forestdelic Records to name just a few. In 2015 he released his first EP “Mudulated Frequencies” and compiled Ironic Creatures and Ironic Cultures with DJ Izzy on Sangoma. So far he played in Germany, Austria, USA, Switzerland and the Netherlands. His sound can be described as epic pumping, jumping and snarling forest psytrance – a fusion between nighttime psychedelic and deep forest friendly atmospheres. His story fits perfectly to the early hours of the morning as well as the middle of the night – powerful music to tune on heads. An artist that shouldn’t be missed at any party.

This prolific artist passionately and openly shares with the dancefloor his deep and spontaneous relationship with music & life, and in a single track we can find the full spectrum psychedelic music can offer. Every set, every track and every single sound is a bundle of union & connection, anger & sadness, joy & bliss, exactly as life presents to us when we abandon the masks society induces us to wear. Lifting the veil of glossy superstars and of commercial tunes coated with flat and easy sounds, Caveman’s music is a crude reminder that harmony can be complex and heavy and that reality permeates the apparently suspended space occupied by worldwide jumpy dancefloors. Jazzmine is the co-owner and DJ of Blue Hour Sounds - a psychedelic Trance label that promotes intelligent and emotional music from Chill to Forest styles. Her specialties are groovy, intelligent and dreamy psychedelic journeys through flourescent soundscapes. 

Born in South Germany in 1981 from a turkish father and german mother. Inspired by her turkish family of musicians and actors and their hot-blooded passion for expressive arts, Jazzmine discovered her love for music at an early age, encouraged by the warm support of her parents.

Her love for psytrance started with a visit in Munich’s ‘Natraj Temple' in 1999, and after some years of various activities around the scene (Chaishop, Deco, Clothing), she started mixing Psychedelic Trance, having her first official appearance as a dj in  2003.
Playing gigs all over Europe, one day (March 2008), she was invited to Bologna, where she met Luca - and a new era of her life was born. 

They founded 'Blue Hour Sounds’ in 2009, and have kept going ever since. 
Jazzmine, as well as being the co-owner and DJ for BHS, created the image of the project - from logo to website, including a solid amount of CD/EP covers for releases on BHS. 
Her style - in both graphics and music - can be described as ‘organic psychedelic, serious, but self-ironic’. 

Jazzmine has played all over Europe, including Boom Festival (Portugal), Ozora Festival (Hun), Midnight Sun Festival (NO), Tundra Festival (LIT), Antaris (Ger), Waldfrieden (Ger), Blackmoon festival (IT), Freqs of Nature (Ger), Cosmo Festival (UK), Metsa Festival (Finland), Forest Star Festival (Sweden), Solstice Festival (NL) and countless other beautiful festivals and indoor parties. 

In 2014 she finished compiling her first ‘very own’ compilation, which is going to be the 10th CD release on BHS, called ‘Songs of Experience’. It is based on friendship and collaboration, featuring tracks born from collaborations between musicians.
