This meditation on this year's blood moon eclipse employs 5 layers of field recordings, two from this year and three others recorded on this day in the previous years. Enjoy the slow pace and open space. A work in progress., it is.

Composite field recordings modified and mixed with a live sound feed on September 15 reworked somewhat today in Suceava at Residentia de creatie. Thanks to Rustic Camping Spot and Dan Prodan for cooperation and letting me work in and around them. Recordings include VLF captures from Baile Herculane and shortwave radio and turntable. 

Viile Satu Mare Sept 15 Composition

Recordings from July 28 and 29 reflect the peculiar ambiance of a multitasking bridge over the Danube near Borcea, where the two counties divide. In the darkness the source of the various drones and incidental noises become mysterious because untraceable. Enjoyable because not so loud as to be alarming although sometimes these sounds can be disquieting. This is a work in progress for an album I hope to complete during my residency here in Suceava. Composed with shortwave, long wave and UHF and VLF field recordings in Burdujeni Sat, near Suceava, Romania during artistic residency at Zidul de Hartie. Special shout out to Dan Prodan, for the ancestral house and the apples. This excerpt is drawn from an iteration of the composition concept realized on the cusp of the Harvest Moon of 2025 in Poznan with additional spontaneous spectral audio and synthesizer which amounts to one full 69 minute piece which will be released by Akashic Records on Bandcamp some time next week after it is divided into smaller tracks. Enjoy the warp of our planet's space time continuum in the fun-house mirror of the ionosphere as bounced back through radio waves.
