I'm Ricky Helfgen, a passionate guitarist and singer from the picturesque town of Illingen in Saarland, Germany. For 35 years, music has been my loyal companion, guiding me through countless moments of joy and inspiration. Now, I'm thrilled to embark on a new adventure: My Acoustic Project. This journey, which began in June 2023 with the release of my song 'On the Sea,' is an exciting exploration of new melodies and musical landscapes. hello everyone, since I don't want to mix german and english songs on the same page, I created this separate page for my english stuff that I wrote over the past 40 years as well as recently. so far I let my guitar "sing" but thanks to AI, I now have the opportunity to bring these songs to life with vocals based on my melody playbacks, my lyrics, and a lot of prompts to suno 4.5+ and suno 5. thanks and hugs for listening!

Three men who like rocking garage heavy metal (80s and 90s thrash metal, oldschool death, punk, grind rock and stuff), drinking beer and texting funny, amazing and bloodthirsty lyrics (Highschool problematics, German historical problematics, frogs, panters/lepards/tigers etc., cold war, Punic Wars, Sioux wars, murderer, true crime etc). There is so much talent and variety here, and most of the people are pretty cool too. I love being part of this community. Listening to your music and being heard in return is enough.

Still reading? OK I'm gonna muse a bit. It's hard to fully convey how much this forum has meant to me. There are people I've never met that feel very much like old friends -- and in a very real way they are.
