10/01/2025 Hey there, thanks for visiting my soundcloud page. 
A real human here with music I've created and produced out of my own brain.
I write, sing, play piano or keys, arrange, produce, and can perform live all of my own songs. I work with REAL players both live and remotely for all of my recordings.  On occasion I use drum samples but I prefer tracking real drums and if the budget allows, I always do that. I DON'T USE A.I.  to write my songs, arrange, do vocals, or anything else.  

What I do and how I do it takes time so I don't post a lot and certainly not often. Sorry. I'm just not like other people.

I'm Ricky Helfgen, a passionate guitarist and singer from the picturesque town of Illingen in Saarland, Germany. For 35 years, music has been my loyal companion, guiding me through countless moments of joy and inspiration. Now, I'm thrilled to embark on a new adventure: My Acoustic Project. This journey, which began in June 2023 with the release of my song 'On the Sea,' is an exciting exploration of new melodies and musical landscapes. I create both instrumental pieces and singer-songwriter compositions. While the destination remains a mystery, the path is filled with endless possibilities. Still reading? OK I'm gonna muse a bit. It's hard to fully convey how much this forum has meant to me. There are people I've never met that feel very much like old friends -- and in a very real way they are.
