The Ward Brothers in the Very Early Years (1976), along with a few friends from the neighborhood.  Recorded by Jeff Carol.   The Drum track (John Ward) was recorded first.  The rest of the music was added later, supported by a few kids from the neighborhood.  It was a fun experiment.

The story of  the apostl Peter being invited by Christ to step out of the boat into stormy water is where this song came from. I wrote this one a month before I first started playing out in public. It was a song to myself saying step out, walk on the water, step on to that stage, you may sink but there is always a hand to reach for. Leave your fears behind in the boat, in that safe place, and step out, trust, have faith, live without fear  .
