From Hell's Kitchen, New York City, JEK G aka Cadiz (Techno alter ego) has been playing music since 2016 from behind the decks. Although an American and a Swiss citizen, Jek G has ethnic roots from Spain, Dominican Republic and Puerto Rico. With an undeniable passion and love for music, Jek began his journey through music mostly rapping, opening for big name rappers such as Jadakiss and Styles P. Years later he took a deep dive into electronic music and began playing private parties before jumping into the club scene in 2024.
JEK G is well known for his expertise in blending and mixing different genres all while keeping the energy and excitement of the crowd with a deep love and interest for house and techno music ranging from Afro house/Afro Latino house to melodic vibes to hard techno. JEK G is well known for his expertise in dark industrial/minimal techno which is played by his alter ego, "Cadiz."

From the DtoNYC, & specializing in vibe creation. I play a darker mysterious melodic tribal techno vibe with a very specific sound. I have a rigorous music selection process and am extremely picky about the music I use in my mixes, with a keen ear for what goes with what.

My first introduction to techno music was back in 2013 at TV Lounge in Detroit. Since then countless nights have been spent hunting for a new sets to listen to, constantly exposing myself to different genres. Fast forward to 2017 I move to New York City, where every weekend there are temptations to go out. Resulting in constant exposure to best DJ’s in the world at my fingertips week after week. In 2018 I’d come to realize that I could not continue going out “every single weekend” and I needed to find a way to start spending some weekends at home, so I ended up downloaded the DJayPro app and started mixing my favorite songs on my phone. I was hooked, my love for music was now my deepest passion. Instead of hunting for new DJ sets to listen to, I was now hunting for new tracks that fit whatever vibe I was trying to create in my own DJ sets.
