Bless This Morning (nature)

There are times in our lives when we yearn for simplicity; when things seem to overwhelm. After [and continuing] ill-health and hospitals, I have felt this need for simplicity, especially after not being able to play the piano for some time, my love and therapy.

I missed it so much; being here; listening to you all, and creating. ……and once again, some dear friends, Milco (The Flute Whisperer) https://soundcloud.com/milco-huisman…. Erik (Melotone) https://soundcloud.com/kiresivat ..  and The Subwave Network, UK https://soundcloud.com/the-subwave-network….. gave me so much, with encouragement and motivation. 

Thus, I woke in the middle of the night, with no ideas, just a need to get to my piano and try to get my feelings out 

It is a simple piece to reflect that need and yearning for simplicity, and which is reflected in the title. I felt sorrow, yet soothed.

I needed to do this, not only for myself, but also for some close friends undergoing some difficulties, and others too, who desire a moment of simplicity in their lives; to forget for awhile the burdens we all experience from time to time.

Please excuse any errors, being an improvisation, and I am hoping to get strong enough to be back online more often than I have recently.

I have missed so many of you and your music so much xx

Yearning for Simplicity - Megs McCarthy

I saw this picture and I remembered my grandparents.
Stories and images described by the beginning of 900. 
They escaped in boats from Smyrna (Asia Minor), where until a few days before, Greeks and Turks live together peacefully.
Impossible to forget the 1,750,000 refugees, escaped from Ireland in the middle of the nineteenth century, for the great famine.

economic interests, colonialism, wars, deaths, refugees, hunger, racism.

Years go by and the story repeats itself.
Those who are well now, think to be immune to these events, but there is no country in history that has not had such dramatic events.

told an old sick to a young boy: where I am now, you will be and where are you now, I have just been.
think about it.

Up The Wooden Hill Album 3

James Beaudreau: steel string acoustic guitar, nylon string classical guitar, electric guitars, bass, drums, objects, field recordings, recording, mixing

James Beaudreau's first three albums* are DIY folk art, album-length compositional statements; mosaics made of fractured pieces of classical etudes, Fahey-esque compositional folk, blues, rock, jazz, field recordings, dub, and a tape-splice aesthetic along the lines of Teo Macero and Holger Czukay.

Sounding at times like the work of Derek Bailey, the connection is only superficial -- Bailey strove for a new language of idiom-free music, whereas this music is a reconfiguration and celebration of multiple idioms.

A closer comparison is the music of Captain Beefheart though that music reconfigures fewer idioms than these albums do.

Petit rêve bizarre III - Stephan Beneking and Milana

Time is different in music.
 Close and friendly it is drifting by
sometimes flying, sometimes even 
standing still, but never passing. 
Nothing gets lost – the first tone 
is not older than the last one.

All music is child of its time, but not bound by time. 
It arises from moments and lives in people.  
Listening to music you make it your own.

My name is Jens Felger and I live in the southwest of Germany.
I'm a composer, guitarist & music teacher.
I love music of nearly every style and I live music whenever I can.
Creating & listening to music is my elixir of life.
The classical guitar is my musical base camp and at the moment 
I'm concentrated on creating music for this instrument. 
I'm not focussed on a specific style but I can't deny my classical background.
