Junk Pop

Written in the fall of 2014, this string quartet is dedicated to my parents, Barry and Mickey Parel.  They always tell me to write beautiful music, this was my attempt at it.  Premiered at ShenArts Council Nov. 8th 2015 by Eli Thomas and Samantha Allen - Violins; Sam Marsico - Viola; Michael Puryear - Cello.  Recorded by David Angell.

In collaboration with the Harrisburg Symphony Youth Orchestra, Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet, and Simon Hoke, choreographer. Conducted by Stuart Malina.

After Gustav Holst, poetry by Christina Rossetti, and paintings by Caspar David Friedrich (pictured: Sea of Ice).

Premiered January 30, 2016.
