"Somebody's Darling" was part of the SOUND CANOPY (2004, M.W. Burns) sound installation sponsored and presented by Chicago's Hyde Park Arts Center, and several Chicago-based arts collectives including Experimental Sound Studio, Temporary Services, Splintergroup, Dead Tech, and Something Else. Sound Canopy was a public 32-speaker installation that "activated" the busy outdoor space at the corner of State & Adams in Chicago's "Loop." Of course, the kinetic & spacial multi-channel site-specific experience of "Somebody's Darling" in SOUND CANOPY cannot be replicated in the stereo device-based internet medium, but fortunately, Chicago Public Radio WBEZ interviewed the main curator (M.W. Burns) on site, at the SOUND CANOPY, where much of "Somebody's Darling" and SOUND CANOPY was featured and explained by Burns.
