Earlier this week, I was asked by The Legacy of the Angels, to record a very beautiful Chopin piano piece known as "The Raindrop Prelude" to be used for a meditation/rain making ritual [today] for the purpose of calling in rain to California and helping to end our drought. (The opening theme is very soft like rain drops and then the middle section gets heavy.) I was familiar with it but have never played it so I needed to practice it from scratch and then send the finished recording by last night! I was also instructed to make a prayer for rain as I played the piece; which I did!

After I was pleased with my work, and gave another deep prayer, I sent the mp3 off. After we put Melody to bed, Kim and I decided to relax and watch a movie we had received from Netflix earlier in the week. The movie was "Love is Strange" which was a decent movie, but kind of slow for my taste. However, what I found interesting was that it featured a lot of piano music in the soundtrack; specifically Chopin. The 3rd song that appeared was the "Raindrop Prelude!" I kept saying to Kim, "what are the chances???" If that wasn't enough, the song came back again as a prominent piece that a student character was practicing in a lesson; it was a vital character point of the whole movie! Seriously, that's crazy!!!!

Then to top it off, this morning we awoke to the sounds of heavy rain and thunder! A real rarity here in Los Angeles! We went outside in the backyard to take it all in and Melody's "OHHHHHH….." was in full effect!!!

In this moment of OHHHHHH, I would like to give gratitude to this serendipitous experience of feeling truly connected to the Great Mystery of the Universe; that we are, without a doubt, all a part of!

I collaborated on this track with my good friend and awesome DJ, FatFinger. We created this song as the celebration piece for my wedding.  The theme of Deep Rez was based on a classical melody I originally composed for my bride to walk down the aisle.  It later crescendoed to a fanfare, and then finally into this!

I would describe much of my original music as melodic modern classical. I bring a lot of emotion to my performances which creates a strong connection with my audience. I have been playing piano most of my life and have been performing professionally since I was 12. I earned my Bachelor's degree in Music Composition from UC Santa Barbara, and have been living and working as a full time professional musician in Los Angeles since 2001. Prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, I was extremely busy performing for corporate and entertainment industry events, charity galas, weddings, and private parties throughout CA. I also previously maintained long-term residencies at noteworthy hotels and restaurants. With stay at home orders ongoing and no live events, I have shifted my focus to releasing music videos on YouTube, live streaming concerts from home and am currently working on recording several new albums to be released in the coming months. My first release will be a new Christmas album in time for the upcoming holiday season. I maintain a wide-ranging repertoire of original music, classical, jazz, standards, musicals, rock, pop and I'm always adding new songs. I love collaborating with other musicians and artists such as dancers, aerialists, skaters and contortionists and have produced many shows and performances that feature these type of performances. I look forward to sharing my music with audiences around the world!
