Gabe is without a doubt one of the most talent producers from Brazil. His unique style has influenced a whole generation of artists who grew up listening to his music and got inspired by his sound. Back from a whirlwind tour this summer that included Glastonbury, Melt & Wilderness festivals plus a much-lauded residency at Heart in Ibiza, performing Damian Lazarus & The Ancient Moons’ eccentric and immersive debut album for the first time, the band unveil their third single, ‘We Will Return’.

Co-written by Ali Love, who also features on vocals, ‘We Will Return’ is remixed by Love’s own Infinity Ink project, Serge Devant and Joeski and veers the Moons back to the dancefloor.

Damian Lazarus & The Ancient Moons brings together a wide assortment of vocalists, collaborators and players from around the world and was joined at the production controls by James Ford (Simian Mobile Disco, Arctic Monkeys, Florence). Taking inspiration from Lazarus's Lazpod series, Get Lost events and Day Zero festival in Mexico, the resulting album, ‘Message From the Other Side’ is a rich and ambitious project featuring musicians from LA, Egypt, Pakistan, Mozambique and Mexico’s Yucatan Symphony Orchestra.

One of the UK’s finest electronic songwriters and vocalists, Ali Love rose to fame providing vocals for The Chemical Brothers hit, "Do It Again", for their 2007 album ‘We Are the Night’. Appearing since on Columbia Records, Back Yard Recordings and co-penning the Justice single ‘Civilization’, used in the biggest Adidas commercial to date, Ali is now part of two of the biggest current dance acts; Infinity Ink and Hot Natured, the latter playing Coachella this year and scoring a place in the UK top 40 Charts.

Do you believe in conincidences?

I don’t - anymore. I used to believe in conincidences but I’ve learned that everything happens for a reason. And that everything in life happens for you, not to you.

So, I have been busying myself with the idea of an remix album of classic tracks of mine for quite some time. But I struggled with the selection of tracks and which remix artist to pair with which track.  Until certain people entered my life. Some of them I only „met“ through their music on social media and never in person, others I met briefly, like in a car to a festival and some I started to hang out with and they became real life friends. All of these people connect with my music and I feel drawn to their music and in many ways we insprire each other.  As a natural result this remix EP took shape and I am excited to present it to you. The record contains four remixes of tracks from my back catalogue that cover a period of 20 (!) years, from my early days on Bush in the mid 90s to my first label Spiel-Zeug Schallplatten in the 00`s up until now, where I run Electric Ballroom from Berlin. Jerome Isma-ae combines the behind-the-curtain knowledge of a music producer, with the familiarity and deep knowledge of a dance floor you would expect from a DJ. Broad in his influences, and a visionary in his approach, you’ll always catch a hint of progressiveness in his sound. Jerome has been surrounded by music since his early years, with musical education in elementary school, learning the piano and later the guitar. At 12, Jerome was already playing the bass guitar in a heavy metal band, but it wasn’t until 14 that he started making his own beats with a drum machine.
Having dabbled in many dance music subgenres, you will catch glimpses of Techno, Trance, and Progressive House in his productions. A mean and heavy rhythm section is contrasted against haunting harmonies and counter melodies, and complimented by ambient and textural layers that add a new dimension to the final product. This formula is applied with top-notch clarity and a meticulous attention to detail to such an extent that the sound of his drums has become both recognizable and memorable.
