Matt Murphy writes, records and performs lyrically driven self psycho-analytical songs in the form of vocally melodic rap music.  

The art is brutally and uncompromisingly honest with content covering an array of gritty, real life situations that make for interesting story-telling. The subject matter can be thought provoking and melancholy at times, but there is a tongue in cheek and jovial aspect to his songs with a fundamentally optimistic outlook. Although difficult to define stylistically, the artists he's  most commonly compared to are Jamie T, Mike Skinner, Plan B and Billy Bragg.

I am always looking for opportunities to make money from music, however i despise the corporate machine the music industry has become, and i would only sign a deal that allowed me to stay true to myself and what i believe in. I would eventually like to be writing music for films.
I am inspired by life, the planet, the universe, real music and art, and I am very motivated and determined to succeed in life with this music I love.

My recording studio is based in Worthing on the UK's South Coast. I offer a relaxed environment where you can sing and record your favourite songs, on your own or with friends, as well as helping with mixing and mastering existing material.

I am a singer/songwriter living in North Yorkshire with my 1 year old daughter.  I have an eclectic music taste however mostly find myself gravitating towards house. Can’t beat it! I currently create originals and covers on my BOSS 505 Loop Station.

I like singing songs and snapping g strings.
