As a DJ, Brooklyn-based Derek Russo has racked up more than two decades of experience, with the skills to switch from slower bpm sets to house, disco and techno smashers.  He throws an underground party in New York called Xoloft and has released tunes on Make Mistakes, Perimeter Junk and his own label, Broad Channel, home to his forthcoming four track 'Special Occasion' EP. His session for us captures him playing a vinyl only set in a dark basement party in Brooklyn called Jewel – and it’s a peach.
