It’s pretty surreal because I thought this song won’t gonna make it to life as it has been laying around on my hard drive for two years and having a lot of doubts to release this, but suddenly my mind tells me to release this and finally got this one to life.

Almost Weekend x jfarr - Take It Back

Here's my remix of "While You Think It Over" by Clo Sur for the In The Mix Remix Contest (mixed on my one working sided headphones).

My first initial decision for this remix was to alter the vocal to fit the rhythm I had in my head. Subtle, but I think it works, and after I had done that, I had the intro and break done. But, I had been sat on this for about 3 weeks wondering how to take the track further, before I finally decided I liked it too much to let it go to waste, so through a bit of patience and motivation from my friend Lan, I finally came up with the drop, and the rest fell into place quite nicely.

 I tried to incorporate elements of old, and new (what's coming) "Bemonics" sounds to leave my mark on the original track. 

Interesting facts
1. I made all of the basses and growls in the drop which i'm really proud of 
2. I used every stem from the original, many not in their original forms, but altered and blended in using my own techniques for resampling. 
3. This track has about 100 something layers including automation...so yeah, it was a big one, but so fun to finish!
