Aggressive ambient is a great description. I'm a big fan of clean sounds against harsh - very 'Floydish'

August Rain

This one completes the Prog group of tracks made entirely in Caustic for droid and windows. It was quite challenging to put together but it was worth it. There are some really good moments in there, it elates me every time.

Candy for Strangers

There are a lot of themes and moves that echo previous tracks but I like it and hope you do too!  This was created using the now abandoned Caustic app.

OnRepeat

Though ambient in nature, this has too many rough edges to say it's ambient, so I've came up with "Aggressive Ambient".  There seems to be more tension than relaxation.

My entry for the Disquiet Junto Project 0463: Making the Gradient.

The Assignment: Make a piece of music inspired by the concept of a gradient.

I let myself be inspired by the sounds of the Prophet VS, a 1986 vector synthesis instrument, with their smooth transitioning waveforms.

Of course, I didn't actually use that, but the Arturia iProphet iPad emulation, which meanwhile is almost as vintage as the real thing.
