Marc-e is a music producer, and performer home to Vancouver BC. 
His live show is an experience to remember demonstrating many different talents including improvised guitar, djembe and live mixing. He’s sure to make your third eye pulse and your body move to his unforgettable bass drops. Marc-e’s music is a unique mix of world music samples, electronic beats, and synthesized bass. Through the music, he brings the listener along with him on the psychedelic, and spiritual journey through life.

The songs that you find documented here are in various stages of development, and reflect my many musical influences, and thematic interests. In these songs I aim towards beauty, truth, the unnameable. I eke out harmony, and work in moments with the enigmatic tension and revelation that dissonance provides. I seek narrative through words and structure. I see narrative through sound where words fail. Should you be moved by any of these pieces, do reach.

Bio:
mia susan amir was born in Israel/Palestine, and currently lives between Oakland CA, and Vancouver, BC, Coast Salish Territories. amir is a writer, performer, vocalist, facilitator, community educator, arts-administrator, and event producer, with a background in theatre and dance. She holds an MFA in Creative Writing from Mills College, Oakland. She is working on her first memoir, A Memory of Sand and Silence. In this work she explores the way in which large socio-political and cultural events become expressed in small spaces, like the home and body through intergenerational transfer. She is the co-editor an anthology-in-progress entitled, Transforming Grief: Personal and Communal Loss in the Work of Remaking the World. amir was the 2008 Artist in Residence at Neworld Theatre, Vancouver, and is the founder of The Story We Be. storywebe.wordpress.com

YAYAYA is an emerging selector making noise in the local scene. Learning from the likes of Jumps (The Cat Empire) and Jezroc (Fresh Sox Crew) during Fear of a Brown Planet’s residency at FCAC, she continues to champion a wavy blend of R&B, hip-hop, funk, soul and house. More recently she’s supported for DJ Spell (NZ) and currently holds down residencies at Littlefoot and Horse Bazaar.

Born and Raised in Coast Salish Territories of Washington State, Infinite Dakota, descends from Ilokano and Matao & Ilokano lineage from Vigan, Ilokos Sur Philippines and Hagå'ña/Mongmong/Tomhom, Guåhan, Marianas Islands.

They travel the world sharing multi-disciplinary Matao New Performance and workshops to empower creativity, community activation, and inter-cultural solidarity.

With a decade of performing and teaching experience, Dåkot-ta has worked with artists and facilitated workshops in public/private schools, universities, community organizations, and arts festivals across the world.

An advocate of Hinasson Matao, a firm philosophy rooted in harmony and balance with all of creation, Dåkot-ta's research supports the development of deeper connections and relationships to enhance collective and individual kåna (spiritual authority).
