Actually Las Vegas constantly get sandstorms that require cleanup or it would be impossible to drive in there. 5 years without maintenance - totally believable coverage. Las Vegas was vuilt in middle of desert out of pride because "fuck you nature". Its not a natural place for a city and its not a good one. They transport water tens of miles because there are no sources near Vegas.
