Electroacoustic piece composed of audio recordings of various hand beaten Tibetan Singing Bowls, Chakra bells and Tibetan Temple bells. Sampling and pitch modulation is used. 

The concept for the piece is ascension of frequencies. As notes rise, tension builds and you are pulled away from the comfortable lower frequencies. This concept occurred in a  recurring dream and I've always wondered the meaning of this.  With my recent spiritual study and awareness during the development of this piece, I am starting to get the meaning of the dream....

Ascension with Tibetan Singing Bowls

Today's premiere comes from Leeds producer Ingot (previously one half of Bad Graphics) who lands on Austrian label Moshbit this month with some cracking sonic experimentations. Junkyard combines unusual halftime rhythms with soft female vocals from Kintsuku and driving sub bass for a truly unique take on the 170 sound. Look for this one coming May 4th via all good digital outlets...
