Jitter Variance

Mister T. records, ou MTT, est un label et collectif de DJs. Lancé en 2015 par 4 amoureux et collectionneurs de vinyles s’installant à Paris, le projet s’est mué au fil des années en un véritable label. Avec leurs 3 sorties vinyles et plusieurs compilations digitales, l’objectif de MTT est de partager, par le biais d’edits et de reworks, les sonorités oubliées qui les inspirent : disco, musiques brésiliennes ou italo. Lorsqu’ils en ont l’occasion, les MTT n’hésitent pas à sortir les pecs pour venir présenter leurs derniers morceaux en club pour des B2B électriques ! C’est ce savant mélange d’influences qu’ils ont voulu retranscrire pour ce podcast en y ajoutant un peu de l’énergie de leurs soirées.

Founded by Cyrill O. aka Prince of Gosplan, with friends Andrey Kalder and Andrey Lipa joining later, De Kat Memwa is a multi-genre mix series recorded by guest selectors from around the world. The community, despite being divided between Russia and Germany, is also a DJ collective, that plays with a full crew or separately, records mixtapes and has its own residency show on Retreat Radio called "Deep Relief". 
This mix is a reflection of what would be their party material right now - They’ve chosen bleepy progressive house as the main element and added some of acid house tracks in the end.

Qu’on se le dise, DJ Nomad est une légende de la scène underground berlinoise! Débarqué en tant que jeune producteur, s’impliquant dans la jungle des clubs locaux et la scène drum and bass au milieu des années quatre-vingt-dix il deviendra aussi reconnu en tant que streetartist.
DJ Nomad ne met pas forcément d’étiquette sur son style, mais exprime toujours son amour pour les structures polyrythmiques, les harmonies soulful et les percussions afro. Il aime mélanger des productions modernes avec des sons tropicaux et des grooves africains et latino américains. En tant que producteur, il innove et sillonne le monde avec son compatriote Dirk Leyers et leur projet commun AFRICAINE 808.

Il est follement obsédé par la recherche de pépites musicales avant qu’elles ne deviennent des tubes et collectionne de manière quasi compulsive les tracks de Soul, Funk, Disco, Afrobeat ou Zouk.

Their friendship behind the decks started as Polyphonic, then became quickly something different giving birth to Slow Fire Disco Machine, an entity exploring sounds from the world with no restriction of genre, with eyes (and ears) to groove and good vibes.For this Jitter mix they've put together 65 minutes of recent favs and unreleased edits going from reggae vibes to kwaito tunes up to house music and back again to some mellow funk-infused records. Berlin Based, devoted digger and Small Talk residence Deniz Arslan has been enchanting people with his sets for years from clubs to intimate booths. 
Whipping through a mix of mid-’80s disco, early-’90s Detroit and Chicago House, all the while dancing, he knows how to bring the party vibe to any dance floor. Coming from the street dancing scene he soon begin to digg more and more into music and finally was able to express his taste not only with movement but also through two turntables and a mixer.

@jitterparty invite Gabe : (@joilafrique) is the co-creator/organiser of Apricot Ballroom (@apricotballroom), an audiophile party based in Sheffield, UK. He's an obsessive digger and collector of both records and speakers, and is usually found digging through dusty shelves and shops for rare vintage pieces of both kinds.
Having been DJing since 2009 he's been involved with a variety of projects focusing on different styles in that time, but really found his feet in starting Apricot Ballroom with best friend Dave (Nonna Fab). The party focuses on displaying obscure and interesting music of all varieties through a beautiful vintage audiophile sound system in a high energy club setting.
The party and its hosts have gone from strength to strength lately, having started a mix series and record label over the last two years, the two becoming regular fixtures at some of the UK's best boutique festivals, and the monthly parties regularly packing out their chosen home of Bal Fashions in Sheffield.

With his Midnight Runners moniker, Munir has had a few releases under the label with Omega Supreme (USA), Hobo Camp (USA), Groove College (SWE), Neon Finger (SPAIN), Star Creature (USA), Spacedust Records (CA) and also don’t forget his Nusantara Tropic Disco Compilation. Midnight Runners is more like collective group picked up by Munir himself from obscure local talent.

Grégoire aka Craig Ouar, French immigrant DJ from Rio since 4 years, through Brazil to dance and make dance. Digger and collector of rare and strange crazy records. One goal, to discover and share the findings. In the DJ booth, Craig always adapts to the context, going from raves more even to the finest audiophile sessions, mixing genres and times. Il était une fois, à Paris, un petit sous-sol rempli de vêtements colorés de toutes sortes et de femmes  posant sur photos quelque peu douteuses. Cette pièce sans fenêtre a marqué le début d’une longue  amitié entre Jeff Lasson (Get A Room!) et Gaetan Rossi (The Elriks). De cette amitié est née une petite graine, une graine qui a mis du temps à germer, doucement saupoudrée de bonne musique et  de bonnes vibrations, pour devenir, quelques années plus tard, «Youkounkoun». 
Il est difficile de définir Youkounkoun et de les placer dans une boîte. Influencés par tous les styles de musique, ils aiment jouer, composer et éditer tout ce que leur cœur leur dicte.
