The Metalheadz back catalogue features almost every major figure in the history of drum and bass, and is one of the most innovative labels out there, consistently crossing boundaries with its releases since 1994. The labels output continues to showcase a maturing genre of music that displays influences from reggae, hip-hop, house and techno with highly-sophisticated and intricately-produced tracks, contrary to the image of the music that is typically presented by the mass media.

Releasing music from some of the biggest names out there whilst at the same time pushing and letting new talent break through are the reasons why Metalheadz continues to stay at the forefront of electronic music.

The Metalheadz label was also the driving force behind the seminal Sunday Session Club Nights, which achieved legendary status at London's Blue Note club. Today, Metalheadz club nights are often sell outs with the label also regularly hosting stages at some of the biggest festivals across the world.

Existing somewhere between the underground and a desk job is never an easy task. It's easy to forget that we play charades by daylight, waiting in bated breath to start making music under the moonlight. The evolution of the roles we play daily shifts, but the need for communion and release does not.

Minimalism is a recurring theme that is becoming more evident with our culture and it shows with his style. Delving into a set with Dabis is akin to watching the seasons change; at times the weather is tumultuous, a cause for concern. Other times it's as fun as diving into a pile of leaves on an autumn afternoon. The only constant to expect is change.

Co-founding the collective Split Second, his focus is on opening hearts and minds to connection, offering the sound journey as a collective conversation through “Heart Beats” creating openings for listeners to connect more with others and dive deeper into themselves.

I will never completely understand the composition of music. It doesn't mean that it can't bring me the greatest pleasure I've ever known in life. I'm so happy to witness the evolution of electronic music through many years, and I'm excited (and ever so curious) to see how it evolves further.

I can't thank all of you enough for the countless hours of listening pleasure, the shit-eating-grin that practically breaks my face, and the contentment that fills my mind and soul...
