룬디 블루스의 데일로그, 첫 앨범 ‘After Summer’ 발매!

- 남녀의 운명적인 만남부터 이별까지의 이야기를 담은 단편집
- 알앤비(R&B), 디스코(Disco), 재즈(Jazz), 락(Rock) 등의 장르를 넘나드는 룬디 블루스의 다채로운 프로덕션

2인조 프로듀싱 팀 룬디 블루스(Lundi Blues)의 멤버 데일로그(Dailog)가 첫 EP ‘After Summer’를 발매한다.
앨범 제목 ‘After Summer’는 앨범이 발매되는 시기인 '가을, 겨울'을 의미함과 동시에 앨범의 이야기를 구성하는 첫사랑 ‘Summer’와의 만남 이후를 의미한다. 

수록된 다섯 곡은 ‘첫사랑과의 짧은 만남과 긴 이별’이라는 하나의 이야기를 구성한다. 사랑했던 과거로의 시간 여행을 떠나는 첫 번째 트랙 ‘Time Travel’을 시작으로 짝사랑(Stupid Love), 연애(Summer), 이별(Blue Night, 파란 하늘 안에) 등의 이야기를 담은 노래가 순서대로 배치되어있다. 
데일로그(Dailog), 스노우맨(Snowman)으로 이루어진 프로듀싱 팀 룬디 블루스는 전 작 'Wake Up'과 마찬가지로 앨범의 작사ㆍ작곡과 후반 작업인 믹스ㆍ마스터를 도맡아 했다. 또한, 룬디 블루스는 앨범 곳곳에 알앤비, 디스코, 재즈, 락 등의 다양한 장르적 요소를 결합함으로써 넓은 음악적 스펙트럼을 보여주었다.

데일로그의 솔로 앨범 'After Summer' 발매 이후 룬디 블루스는 멤버 스노우맨과 룬디 블루스의 작품을 발매할 예정이다. 흑인 음악을 기반으로 다양한 음악적 시도를 보여주고 있는 룬디 블루스의 활동을 기대해보자.

1. Time Travel
'This is not a love story.' 

영화 '500일의 썸머(500 Days of Summer)'의 나레이션으로 시작하는 이 곡은 앨범을 관통하는 주제인 '사랑'을 화두를 던진다. 나레이션을 통해 앨범이 '단순한 사랑이야기가 아니라 남녀가 만나고 헤어지며 성장하는 과정에 주목한다'는 의미를 전달한다. 곡 후반부는 '500일의 썸머'에서 등장하는 다급한 목소리, 접시 깨지는 소리가 다음 트랙 'Stupid Love'가 자연스럽게 이어진다. 

2. Stupid Love
짝사랑하는 사람의 독백을 담은 어반 알앤비.
짝사랑하는 사람 앞에 서면 왠지 어리숙해지는 모습이 담긴 곡이다. 어반 알앤비(Urban R&B) 비트 위에 얹어지는 기타와 우울한 화성이 짝사랑의 아픔을 전한다. 데일로그가 직접 연주한 곡 후반부 일렉트릭 기타는 뒤엉킨 심정을 표현한다. 

3. Summer
운명의 여인과 만난 한 남자의 사랑 고백.

영화 '500일의 썸머'에서 영감을 받은 트랙이다. 운명의 여인 'Summer'에게 푹 빠져 헤어나오지 못하는 한 남자의 고백이 담겨있다. 80년대를 연상시키는 복고풍 디스코 리듬과 신스가 특징인 팝 댄스곡이다. 

4. Blue Night
우울한 밤, 반쪽짜리 달을 닮은 발라드.

우울한 밤 홀로 떠 있는 반달에 영감을 받아 만들어진 곡이다. 룬디 블루스와 재즈 피아니스트 홍진표가 만나 재즈 카페의 라이브 세션과 같은 분위기를 선사한다. 곡 후반부에 등장하는 피아노 솔로는 이별의 슬픔을 아름답게 표현한다. 

특히 이 곡은 애니메이션으로 제작된 독특한 분위기의 뮤직비디오를 통해서도 만나볼 수 있다. 뮤직비디오는 깜깜한 밤, 배 위에서 헤어진 연인을 그리는 한 사람을 조명한다.

5. 파란 하늘 안에
이별 수용의 과정을 담은 노래

앞 트랙 'Blues Night'과 이어지는 감성의 이별 노래로 우울한 밤(Blue Night)이 지나고 파란 하늘의 낮이 되었지만, 여전히 떠나간 사람을 그리는 곡이다. ‘파란 하늘 안에’는 앨범 구성상 'Summer'와의 완전한 이별을 의미한다. 노래는 단순히 이별의 슬픔에 잠기는 것에 그치지 않고 담담하게 이별을 받아들이며 마무리된다. 80년대 복고풍 디스코 리듬과 기타 연주가 만나 들려주는 사운드는 가을, 겨울의 파란 하늘을 닮았다.
