I have been playing music and performing my entire life. I started playing the saxophone at age 9, the electric bass at 14, and by the time I finished high school I had paying ($) gigs in a jazz ensemble and a rock-n-roll band that belted out original songs. I pick on the mandolin, guitar, and upright bass; I play bamboo flutes I make myself, I bang on drums and try out  any musical instruments I come across. 

The first time I connected two turntables to a mixer was an epiphany for me - I mean it fundamentally changed the course of my life. I realized I could play all the music that needed playing, and I could do it without a break, so the party keeps going. 

I was meant to be a DJ.

La Niña is a motion designer and DJ, originally from Badajoz, Spain and based in Porto, Portugal since 2012.
