‘Kwizma” is the alias and brainchild of Netherlands-based Christian Engelen. 

His rumbling bass and cutting edge sound design have captivated the creative minds of people from every corner of the globe. He has worked alongside widely acclaimed world-touring DJ’s such as Truth, N-Type, and Nomine (to name a few), as well as provided music for Indy video game developers, content creators, and dancers. 

He now has releases on renowned imprints such as Deep, Dark & Dangerous,  UK’s iconic ’FatKidOnFire,’ and Texas’ home grown ‘Silent Motion Records.’ With interviews and coverage from LA’s ‘Bassrush’ and San Diego-based clothing label ‘Dataset’, it’s no wonder he’s peaked the interest of so many. His next release will be on his very own record label ‘Kuro Records’, with which he holds the title of Founder together with two other legends in the scene, Leon Switch and Kelly Dean. Both of which have joined him in creating a powerful trio known as NōTaN.

This one has been a long time coming! Episode #18 of the All About The Music show is dedicated to J:Kenzo and his label Artikal Music. Initially I wanted to record this for the label's 10th anniversary in 2022, but I always felt like I don't have enough records, lol. :D So finally - here it is. As always I tried to keep the mix interesting including many different artists and all sorts of flavours inside - everything from the dubby, deep and dark bits, through the grimey bangers and some heavy hitters, all the way to the last third of the mix where I ended up with some drum & bass, halftime and jungle. I had a lot of music to go through and ended up with 47 tracks from 44 different releases from my vinyl collection by J:Kenzo and the Artikal gang. :) Much love & respect to Jay and the all the artists releasing quality beats on the label over the last 12 years. Thanks for all the hard work over the years and for the music. 🔥
