I feel like my time was well balanced between song search and download, song categorization and SCORING, set order (and reorder), practice and recording. I’m always surprised how I continue to find new, awesome, interesting music every week. I thought I had enough songs but realized about 1/3 way through that I would be short. I added a song on the fly and that felt good.  (I was still short). As always, I had trouble finding my way through number 2 in the SCORE.  I practiced mixing this section at least 4 times.  I NAILED the 4 (I fucking love this song!!!!!). As I was recording and dancing I realized this felt like a pretty hard techno house set ;-) I guess I was making it for the nature ravers. I completed my ritual before every practice and gave thanks to my ancestors.  I know I couldn’t do this without them.

This set is from the depths of my heart and my ancestors and all the stories untold. It is inspired by my birthday and playing whatever the fuck I want, the Gemini Season, it is inspired by land and by fire - the element of summer, it is inspired by lifetimes of conflict, especially in the middle east and africa but all across the world and across the privacy of our own hearts, the violence of land back, the love of land back, the desire for safety, whose land and why and how can we have more, how do we protect it, how do we share it, how do we love it, and importantly, fire's role in transformation. This set drives heat for the purpose of reigniting flames of humanity needed for justice, peace, and a loving world. I hope you feel. I hope you live. I hope you hope. I hope you love.
