Six days, seven nights

In Ireland, we have a tradition of lighting a candle for someone who is struggling, or to remember loved ones. Kept well, the flame shines bright to remind us of them. Light A Candle is that sentiment, but also  a song to remind us of those who are away, but we expect to return..... in this life or the next.

This is a Demo I've been working on for some time. It's a sentimental Ballad with feeling and message. It's not perfect, It's not finished, I'm fighting emotions and energy to get it done.

My new song BEEN HERE BEFORE is a pop/rock track. The song captures the cycle of returning to a toxic relationship, where promises and passion repeatedly collapse into pain. It portrays the struggle of knowing the outcome yet still giving in, caught between desire and disappointment. The lyrics reveal vulnerability, self-awareness, and frustration with repeating the same mistakes, showing love as both addictive and destructive. Ultimately, it's about the exhaustion of reliving heartbreak, recognizing the pattern, yet feeling powerless to break free from it.

When we first started writing songs together we thought we’d keep it simple but found the allure of a full band sound too tempting to ignore. This song, about the destructive patterns we get locked into, is us fulfilling that original intention - just acoustic guitar, violin and vocals.
