Genre-fluid beat wizard with a love for deep grooves and high energy.

I am an amateur musician living in Toronto, Canada.  I have been making music for mostly myself and friends for almost 25 years.  Most of it is electronic and rooted in hip hop, but I have a really hard time labeling and describing it to people.  "Instrumental Hip Hop" harkens too much of a mid 90s backpacker ethos, and "Trip Hop" isn't quite right and never has a positive implication nowadays.  I just make beats.  There's scratching here and there.  Sometimes I rap a little.   The tracks on this page range from 1999 to Now.

II appreciate any feedback about the stuff up here.  Good or bad, long-winded and technical or short and simple... whatever.  But if you're listening, drop a comment!  It means a lot.

Welcome to my SoundCloud channel. I’m Nuno R, a Portuguese electronic music producer based in Lisbon.
Born in 1989, I started producing music at 16 and never really stopped.
My early years were spent experimenting with different DAWs, genres, and BPMs — a period of exploration that shaped my foundation. Over time, I deliberately invested in deepening my understanding of production and mixing, refining both my sound and workflow.
Along the way, I was involved in different projects and collaborations across various genres, all of which influenced the music I make today. Around two years ago, UHMAD emerged, alongside a full transition to Ableton Live, now at the core of my workflow.
This space reflects that journey — ideas, sketches, and finished tracks made for the dancefloor. My focus is on deep, hypnotic electronic music driven by groove: sometimes techno, sometimes house, depending on the feeling of the day.
At some point, I ended up deleting almost all my tracks. A few remain here; others will resurface in future sets.
