Invention 2 – Piano Baroque moderne Original

After a prolonged battle with writers-block, I decided to just sit down and just let "whatever came out" happen.  This track is the result.  Playing with vocal samples and slicers mostly. It breathes in waves, Starting with a meditative trance, building slowly to climax over and over, and then ending with a few minutes of spacey groove to dance to! Hope it doesn't disappoint!  I envisioned one who meditates and achieves astral projection and takes comfort in the cool serenity of the cosmic afterglow, drifting effortlessly through the luminous haze of eternity.

For this composition, I use the Iwato scale, which is a musical scale that is similar to the Locrian mode (spelled 1 b2 b3 4 b5 b6 b7), The seventh mode of the major scale, is different in that it has no 3rd or 6th notes, thus making it pentatonic. Its spelling is therefore 1 b2 4 b5 b7. It is used in traditional Japanese music for the koto. It is a mode of the Hirajōshi scale.

"Jörg S. born in Cologne, from youth on, is fascinated by all kinds of art, so he taught himself the saxophone very early. Nowadays flutes of all kind are also part of the equipment, as are jaw harps, percussion, bass, guitars and keyboards.
He was and is always involved in many band projects and session events.
In the 80s he was a saxophonist in the Adam Noidlt Intermission Orchestra with gigs in Berlin, Cologne, Düsseldorf and Basel. Very early on he also worked as a writer with live readings in the Cologne area and was a painter with large formats for many years, all in addition to his job as a graphic designer. Now, retired, he is devoted solely to music: home recording with the platform of choice, Soundcloud and global collaborations."
