When I discovered that I could make music with an iPad back in the distant Christmas of 2011, it was a shock that made me compose, to learn and develop ideas, almost 400 sketches and compositions in the first 5 years. The interesting thing is that, in addition, I found time to work, eat and sleep (Not much...) 😉.

One Christmas night of 2013-2014, when I had been composing for two years and the night of the Three Kings was approaching, which is a special holiday in Spain, and other countries, because the next day Christmas presents are given (It is a very special day for children) I was still so obsessed with the composition that I couldn't sleep. So I took my iPad, improvised, and in 5 hours I finished what you hear now. I tried to create an epic music that recalled the journey of the three Kings. I remember it was around 6:00 am when I went to bed.

It was my first orchestral composition without any electronic style and I post it here.

narration: just what the poem says (okay, offering a clue to toying with the clew: there is light - lux - as the main topic here, things you can and cannot perceive, that might and might not be at all - beyond mere appearances. Remember, however, how a haiku works - surprise overcomes you in the last line, not the one before that which still sets the natural and supernatural scene, no matter the momentum of tension it builds! - ... and, of course, a bow to a certain British poet's perspective on totemism might be in the cards as well ;-)

So here's the finalized version of my songs! 

I feel kind of weird releasing them now, because I wrote these so long ago. These songs are some of my first ones I've ever written. I've spent so many hours recording in my basement or in a music room after school, editing on GarageBand, and just trying to make it sound the best I could with what I had. I don't relate to them as much as I used to, because even in the last several months I've grown as a person, and when I listen to them, I definitely feel like I'm listening to a less-confident, younger, more scared me. Nonetheless, here they are now. Hope you enjoy.

"Jörg S. born in Cologne, from youth on, is fascinated by all kinds of art, so he taught himself the saxophone very early. Nowadays flutes of all kind are also part of the equipment, as are jaw harps, percussion, bass, guitars and keyboards.
He was and is always involved in many band projects and session events.
In the 80s he was a saxophonist in the Adam Noidlt Intermission Orchestra with gigs in Berlin, Cologne, Düsseldorf and Basel. Very early on he also worked as a writer with live readings in the Cologne area and was a painter with large formats for many years, all in addition to his job as a graphic designer. Now, retired, he is devoted solely to music: home recording with the platform of choice, Soundcloud and global collaborations."
